As he dismounted to give his steed a rest, Vay's feet sank with a dull thud into the soft earth beneath the recently rained on grass. Each footstep was a bit of a challenge, and he was thankful for the break from his heavy armour that he had packed in his saddle bags.

His eyebrows raise up as Grayls mentions the name Cid. His eyes then fall downward to the moderately scorched gnome.

"Aye? I b'lieve I've 'eard o this'n..." He rub his smoothly shaven chin as he thinks a moment. "Inventer, am I right?"

He then smiles and then lightly places a gloved hand on Cid ...

Vay tries to follow Maeve's stream of thoughts, but manages only to catch onto the last couple. He tries to keep smiling through his confusion.

"Erhmm... well, I jus' came down from me room, lass. I've nae 'ad th' pleasure o' meetin' Grayle's frien's 'ere."

He glances over at the speed-talking ...

Glancing to his side, Vay notices the amazonian form of Maeve skillfully stitching away. As he holds out a finger to Roggins and is tossed a bottle of stout, he smiles at Maeve and reaches out his free arm to offer a hug.

"Well now, stranger! Been a long time gone, eh? 'Ow are ye, lass?"
