Thank you for the advice. I figured out what was wrong. Apparently I was out of disk space and that was the error message NWN gets when that occurs. I deleted some things, so hopefully it will work now.

You should get a lot more evil points if you murdered Laul and stole all the money on him. Murder is an extreme form of evil. But being cruel to others with your words/actions can certainly be considered evil as well.

Usually evil actions are when you exploit a person in need. Which quests give you evil points just for asking to be paid for your services?

Chaotic Neutral generally leans towards good. It doesn't hurt my CN character to be polite to others. Words don't cost you anything. Actions do.
