Wait that's good right? I know nothing about babies but I always found it odd that babies are identified by how long they are and how much they weigh. Kind of reminds me of fishing. "Hey Bob, what'd you catch?" Bob: "I caught me a nice bass! 54 cm and 3.4 lb!"

Maybe saying their size and weight is the nice way of saying "Baby's not missing any body parts" or something. That's my guess.
