I want to know, who gets the 50g's? I hope they aren't just going into someones pocket, and will be put to good use in improving the city and town and the life here, and not just to shiny new boots for the Guards and lining a few pockets.

so far i wasnt collecting any 50 gold, however raymond carth suggested so, and said he'd gone throught with jeh about it, so i presumed this was the concluded reason. if i understood it we'd write down the amought taken until a dm logs in and grabs the calulated sum. however as said, the guidelines are still under construction. and your completely correct.

hopefully in the long future, suchs writs will be automatic by guard assigning it and you'd get a writ as a item, which you can pay off at a governernt npc.

Does this mean monks must put their hands in their pockets when inside city limits? 8)

That's what I have been doing, use the "H" key to unequip your hands.

well, I was being serious. It has to go somewhere. I Just hope all this talk is for the right reasons. I'm all for a Guard force to keep the less desirable elements away from Cear, but I've seen these things fall to corruption elsewhere

Then you get Minuvas happy by allowing him to call in the Red Inquisition on the guards for deviating from upholding the word of Lochwar.

I really doubt that there could be any type of OOC abuse of IC privledges occuring here without serious IC consequences for all involved.

oh, I'm not worrying about ooc happenings here. This is could/can occur all IC. My posts are IC as Aiynu, chiming in as if it were a public debate type thing

Whoops, my bad, did not realize this board was IC...

Though... shouldn't that be moved to "Meanwhile..."?

Confusion abounds :?:

This board should be considered ooc for the most part.
It's just a game...

:!:

Thank you.

So.. guards issue writs IC, log them on boards for the DMs to pursue... Perhaps that should be a board open for everybody to view? Or... more complex, but have that in a database accessible through an NPC in the Ministry of Trade so player characters can keep an eye on how much more troubles they can afford to raise

I'd assume frequent offenders would find what the special rooms in the Gaol are for...

Awesome.

Warn them once or twice then enforce, thats it

We like this one.

If that 50gp is all the guards got as payment it wouldn't be enough.

That is the LEAST they deserve for the time and effort they put into being a guard, doing their job (IC), and in my mind, doing Dasaria a service by setting the proper tone.

I fail to see how pocketing that 50 gold is not 'good' use. Oh wait, you're right, its 'great' use.
