New guy....

I saw this place, and had to join. So far i am not doing so well, i can't seem to figure out a few things, for one as a Druid i start with no weapons and 0 gold and a set of leathers? That doesn't seem very fair to me, i can't even buy a dagger to defend myself with, seems silly.

Navigating the quests to make money is painstakingly long because inside the city someone forgot to put map markers on places of importance, it took me an hour and a half to make 50 gold. Not very fun so far.

But i am keeping my hopes up for i will try again tomorrow.

The character name is Lanfear if you see me i would appreciate any help i can get. I'm pretty lost as it is so far, and i used to DM in NWN1 on a PW, so i don't know why i am having so much difficulty here.

I'm also new, joined three days ago. You get used to the city pretty quickly because, other than NWN 1, the city's buildings are unique!

Look out for a Wendy when you're IG.

Hey Rask,

All characters start with no gold and no items (except for the suit the class already lets the character wear). If I recall correctly (and even if I don't, because it's my point of view then) this system is in place to get people to explore and work for their cake. It really could take one only ten minutes to get fifty gold, I think. My tip is just to speak with every NPC (with a name) you find, and to establish connections with PC's. The second is optional, however; although making enemies certainly won't help you, it is sometimes fun to RP it.

If you get stuck just ask another player or make friends with another char of your lvl to do quests with, thats what I did when I started playing.

Yeah when i was on last night it was sparsely populated i didn't come across any other players or i definitely would have engaged in some RP, thats why i joined after all. And starting with no gold and just leathers was weird to me it most at least give me a weapon of some kind like a dagger or a quarterstaff or something. Oh well, i will definitely give it another shot.

Hey Rask,

Welcome to Dasaria. We played a bit already and I enjoyed it.

I have one thing though, the DM's may appreciate it if you'd change your login from DM Rask to Rask. It might confuse players to see another DM log in, when we don't have a DM named Rask. =)
