Hi,
I've just started playing here. I logged off last night with the intention to log in today to finish off and hand in a couple of quests I had either finished or were part way through. However all of my journal entries have vanished apart from the latest quest which I had picked up. Is this usual after a reset? If so it's kinda sucky as I can't remember everything I had listed, it's also a bit annoying as I had finished 90% of Ophelia's quest and needed to speak to Farmer Cobb to finish things off, however he wouldn't speak of anything other than his farmhouse quest so I assume I needed to complete that before being able to complete Ophelia's quest.
If it makes a difference I hit level 4 shortly before logging off yesterday.

Hi Decado, Welcome to Dasaria!
With the exception of just a few quests, your quest journal will clear itself when the server resets. Normally this is every few days. I think it had been up for about three days before it went down last night. It does suck if you lose some progress, but it gives you another attempt to RP through it with a group if you wish.
The current and completed quest log is different than your personal journal used to store notes, which does not get deleted during resets.

Re: Lost all Journal Entries?
Thanks for the quick response
I'll be sure to not leave anything hanging between log in/outs in future.
Is there a reason why these journal entries are not persistent across resets? It seems odd for an RP server to force you to rerun quests you've already partially completed from the beginning - doesn't really fit the whole RP feel of the place.

Re: Lost all Journal Entries?
I find it can be quite funny, cause in order to level you have to redo alot of these quests.
What’s really funny is when everyone tries really hard to ignore the secret doors and pretend they've never been there before, lol.
My take on it, as far as the overall plotline goes, is that the first time you do a quest is it's canon, everything else is just a chance to rp with different groups of people.

In order to level on most role play servers, you are forced to farm spawns after you've completed a quest. Dasaria allows you to simply repeat the quest. And, isn't questing is more conductive to role play than farming?
