Just saw Grindhouse, and oh man was it fun. The first movie was just over the top action, bad *** cheesy lines all the way through accompanied by chicks with guns. Awesome at it's core.

The second one was very very slow, to the point where I almost walked out... then the car chase started. 8)

Watched half of the movie "Happy Feet" and had then to give it back to a friend before I was able to see the other half.

Not really feeling like watching the rest though. The way the story was going... I can pretty much imagine what happened then.

*Spoilers* The part where they all die, go down to hell and have a wicked metal rockout with naked women everywhere? Man, that was the only redeeming quality of that movie. */Spoilers*
Moreover, I advise that Carthage must be destroyed.

Finished watching Battle Royal just now. I'm fairly convinced that it's one of the greatest films this side of the new millenium. I'm in total awe.
Moreover, I advise that Carthage must be destroyed.

I saw Grindhouse.

Deathproof, the second feature was great. Really kept me in suspence.

Dark comedy + Violence = laughed quite a bit.

Grindhouse was awesome, saw it twice.

I also saw the Aqua Teen movie which did not deliver for me.

300 - groovy, chipendales throw a paddy
ghostrider - oh cage *shakes head* oh cage my son, what have yee done to thee?
Epic Movie - I've had better times on the toilet
Eragon - better than the book.. condensed into 2hrs(ish) without the awful writing, still not great though
Last king of Scotland - excellent. acting and story, grim and funny. all round great.
Happy Feet - passed the time.
The Descent - ha, cool flick.
I don't feel any shame, I won't apologise

Suprised I didn't post here earlier. Anyway:

300 - Too much hype led me to have high aspirations for this movie, which were shattered when the movie turned out little better than 'average'. Mind you, I'm a history nut, and I found myself occasionally picking it to pieces in my mind by reflex, but I generally enjoyed it and would definitely recommend it.

Children of Men - Brilliant!

Walk the Line - On TV, I liked it a lot.

Harsh Times - Pretty crazy in parts, but a damn good movie.

Only one of these was at the cinema, apologies if they were just meant to be movies we'd seen at the cinema and not DVDs or on TV.

EDIT: Battle Royal is great too by the way.

K-pax

Very awesome but it didn't exactly struck me as a masterpiece. There was this really nice scene that resembled a painting though...

The Evil Dead series is eluding me.

I will destroy the Wal-Mart nearest to my home.

I just finished watching Battle Royal (the original Japanese version, I don't know if it has been remade or if another movie is called battle royal) for the third time in 17 years with a few minor differences it does remind me of school, great movie. :D

Going to watch Battle Royal 2 tomorrow for the first time ever.

My advice. Go into it with lower than low expectations. Nowhere near as good as the first one.
Moreover, I advise that Carthage must be destroyed.
