Honestly, I'm not even sure I want to get back to playing now. I wanted to have my characters remembered for what they stood for. Not be remembered as the whiny player that got somewhere just because he QQd on the boards.
You post something, you get responses, you post more, get a conversation going, perhaps raise valid points, people discuss things and THEN after all said and done you start feeling all humble and whiney and strange and stuff?

I find this highly illogical behavior.

Because I was fully conscious of the possible outcome when I made the first post. Just thought it worth saying.

Otherwise I'd simply disappear, as usual. Without being... as described.

I find it disheartening that you think you would feel ostracized for raising a point that you feel needed raised.

The fact that you have been waiting on DM approval for things and did not get feedback is something that would bother me too. It is not something I have had issue with so far because I tend not to ask . ((that is one of my failings not the DMs)).

The thing that I do have issue is that same players, not all...some...appear to think that RP, DM notice should come to them. DMs may not know your story, may not know your characters goals, may not be aware that you character has things he is trying to do. Coming up in Das 1 where we had LONG periods of little to no DM interaction, I got in the habit of making my own goals that are attainable through RP. In fact, I ended up with the reputation with staff of being too quiet and not asking for aid. But because I wrote in the forums constantly, staff picked up on my character's stories and started throwing things my way.

Use every tool available to you, including other players. One voice may not get heard, a few voices may be more likely to get attention.
