I presume the guards will have their own forum thread?Minuvas wrote:I think how you enforce the laws depends on your character. If your character is personally getting tired of having to enforce the same law, than meh.
If you are the character who will never bend, never yield, then enforce the law to the fullest.
My only problem with the writs - is that your first quest gives a fully detailed process as to how writs are handed out.
We either need to edit the lore, to allow Watchmen to hand out minor writs - or we should disallow writs to be handed out.
Apparently as it is now, there is a large bureaucracy behind writing writs.
I'm surprised there isn't one already.Grayle wrote:There should be a sign at the front gate, with nice big letters:

Maybe they learned their lesson and are properly intimidated by the guardsman's presence, plotting the demise of the system instead in a dark, mouldy basement.White Wolf935 wrote:so far i've only heard the pleased ones it seems, but i "know" there's people who dont think equal, is it becouse they wish to remain hidden, if so i'll add a pool for it, if not i'd love to hear a but from folks who have some well placed complains and critisism, as we're not only getting far with only half of the cake.
You should be a guardsman.Ebrim Darkmoon wrote:How common is basic literacy in the city? That could be pretty funny:
"The sign says no openly carried weapons."
"But I can't read."
"Ignorance of the law is no excuse." *splortch*
Or a trigger that prompts the gate guards to say "sheath your weapons. It is city law" as someone enters the city from outside. At least then only the deaf could claim ignoranceGrayle wrote:There should be a sign at the front gate, with nice big letters:

There is absolutely no doubt in my mind that someone who can't read or understand the city language is going to meet a quick abrupt end in a tyranical society.Ebrim Darkmoon wrote:"Hey! I told you to sheathe that weapon! it's the city law!"
"Oh. Sorry, I don't speak common."

I'm sure a high-level character who attacks the guards recklessly and wantonly will meet an their end soon enough. And it will probably be creative to boot.premiereboris wrote:what annoyed me most is that, a low level character had to listen to the guards, while a higher level could easily dispatch all of them.
I believe the guards are lvl 20, I am ..... well pretty high level and they con Impossible to me.premiereboris wrote:what annoyed me most is that, a low level character had to listen to the guards, while a higher level could easily dispatch all of them.
