yay i can use all my feats again! <3 (btw, leave bosses and minibosses non-disarmable, it's better for encounter balance)

You know there is a way to have disarm avable. and have the monster put his weapon in his inventory and then after it dos that. the weapon disapears. delets it from his inventory. i seen it in NWNI. that way disarm works and the items if its to stronge for us to get. disapears to. aldo i think if we fight some one that has a item and we kill it. why shude we not be able get the reward of having it. if its stronge anoth for a enemy. and good anoth for him why not for the player to. its not a gift its right of war to plunder and take what you will from History point view and Table top D&D and the like. Excuse my spelling. spanish my main toung. Keep up good work. have fun all And merry Xmas

it's not for making bosses not drop the disarmed weapon (when you disarm a monster in nwn2 you destroy his weapon), it's for not making a boss encounter too easy by making every humanoid attacking unarmed and getting killed by AOO :D
this is why i would like to have every monster EXCEPT bosses and minibosses disarmable :P

I think the KD is implemented the same way right now. I can't KD any boss in the tower. They are all Immune to it :(

are they immune or simply resist?
there isn't a knockdown immunity setting in the toolset i think, perhaps they gave those bosses one of those knockdown immunity items :p

When I try to KD them, it says:

"So and so is immune to Knockdown" (in yellow font)

No, Kazak, the bosses are KD immune because it makes them way too easy to beat. :P

Yes correct, I don't have a problem with that at all.

guess i'll make a disarm check on all the dungeon i can still enter then :D
will let you know

edit: bugbear shaman, warrior, berserker all disarmable

edit2: talassian guardsmen/knight disarmable, lieutenant zylea disarmable (this is wrong imo, she's a mini-boss so she should be immune to disarm & knockdown for not making the encounter too simple)

update3: zylea no longer disarmable, everything seems working fine so far in bugbear cave/mage tower

I think this deserves a second look.

Imp. Disarm says you get their weapon automatically (which doesn't seem to be the case -.- ). Granted this is an invention of bioware but disarm should do exactly that. It is not sunder. It's disarm.

Disarm/Knockdown both work against different opponents. Disarm fighters and knockdown mages.

Besides there are a dozen other slots for "helping" out the NPCs that can't be disarmed (in NWN2... but you should be able to :P)

Personally I just want grapple put into NWN2.

Sneak over to high level mage. Knockdown. Pin. Disarm (steal all of his stuff, leave him naked). Beat him unconscious with nonlethal and leave him there.

The good old days of PnP... although I don't think our DM was very happy that we just took the quest givers items and ran off.

As I have been meaning to make a warrior anyway, after reading this post I went ahead and tried out Imp Disarm when I did make him. Thus far it has seemed to be a well balanced implementation, though I do have one question...are AOO's buggy on NWN2 or do many of the NPCs have the appropriate feat or whatnot to keep from giving AOO's once disarmed?

Thank you again for all your work on this :)

As my character with improved disarm has seen a fair portion of the enemies in Dasaria II now, I wanted to update this.

I do not know if it is intentional or not, but in the course of my travels I have found some areas where non-boss enemies are immune to disarm, here's the list thus far

1)The thoroughfare bandits(and by that I mean all bandits in the thoroughfare, not just the ones bearing that moniker) all seem to have their weapons welded to their hands

2) The undead warriors on the way to aucklorn mill cannot be disarmed. (neither the daylight or nighttime versions of them)

3) The clerics and champions in the Tersii monks dungeon cannot be disarmed.

That's all I have found at the moment that are immune. Jair hasn't been to the tower yet, though I understand from a former post in this thread that they are disarmable.

If it was intentional to leave the above enemies un-disarmable I won't complain. I just wanted to bring it to your attention in case it was unintentional.

Also, can anyone answer my post above regarding attacks of opportunity? I took Expert Tactician to capitalize on my role up front when in a party, and I figured Imp Disarm would help that along, but somewhere around or over 50% of enemies I disarm do not grant AOOs
