Ormane, that sorta music is getting really big again with the younger demographic who don't want to go the Emo crying route, or the popstar princess route.

Sadly my precious Billy Idol and Flock of Seagulls shall never make a triumphant return compared to the likes of say.. Hendrix, The Doors, and Stevie Ray Vaughan.

Thank the heavens for you, Obs. I haven't the first clue about the direction of pop culture. I hadn't even heard of the Cheetah Girls until I heard they were making a second movie. Being only 26, it's kind of embarassing.

I'm glad disco is coming back a bit. Oh yes and regarding 80's pop, never say never.

Buddy, I'm only 22 and I'm already out of touch.

Before I quit my last job they changed the radio station to something that played alot of classic rock / 80's music / and other halfway decent to really good songs.

None of the 16 - 18 year old new hirees knew any of them.

I was never in touch with what was popular, and I blame that on never watching MTV.

I have no shame in saying I didn't even know what MTV was until the middle of last year. Heck, I only know that it stands for 'music tv' now, and that it has music on it. Please, nobody tell me anything more on it. Ignorance is bliss. :)

Some fine groupings here, I've not heard of some, but most are in my rack. Johnny Cash aye? after that film with the blonde midget in it I listend to a few of his, and he is pretty damn good.

Netin Sawney and Unkle. (heh, I found my old MP3 player, about 3 years hidden in a box, and was listening to some classics)
