logging in (hopefully not repeat)--help?

Well:

1. I set up port forwarding on my DSL modem, allowed all of the NWN2 ports
2. Windows firewall is turned off and no other firewalls are running

Still, can't login to NWN2 servers.
In addition, somehow a Win32 runtime error appeared after changing my DSL modem settings.

Should I try reinstalling NWN2?
Or should I contact the company at this point and ask for help?

Btw, I also have GuildWars running on my PC and that connects just fine.
(have not tried original NWN to see if there are connection problems there)
