Claims of their fame have been greatly exaggerated.Jonny wrote:One of the more famous groups to grace Dasaria was the Morell Bounty Hunters Assoc.
I suggest doing a search of the old forum for some ideas.
Is there a detailed description of Morell?

I'm always right. I'm also a jerk. It's not my fault you can't get over the latter to see the former.

Again, what might the population be about?
Any specific taverns or inns by name, any famous rogues?
Everything I can get of this would be of much help. Thanks. Feel free to point me in the direction of player written stories invovling morell even, I have not been able to comb over all of the tales and what not
Thanks.

Re: Is there a detailed description of Morell?
Morell is presently only accessible by sea, at a landing site located on the southern shore (directly south-west of Morell). The landing site, named "Sheppard's Landing", is a small rural pier used by the Varanites on the peninsula to deliver supplies, and occasionally troops, to the Morell region. The government prefers to use the sea rather than the road, as travelling through Vokk territory can be... troublesome at best. The Vokk and the Government's relationship is best left unstirred.Creteus the Younger wrote:Morell was once a minor town in the southern plains. During the spring offensive of 583 Morell scouts often played a crucial part in many of Marcus IV’s plans. At great personal risk these brave partisans provided vital information that allowed the Emperor to keep military conflict to a minimum. Today Morell is the only town in the province to have a native governor, Governor Ozur being recognised for his many acts of bravery during the conquest of Corda. Situated as it is deep in the new Vokk tribal lands Morell has become an important Imperial stronghold.
Thus, Sheppard's Landing is a small rural pier used by merchants, clipper ships and garrison ships to deliver all sorts of goods and personnel. The road leads directly up into the hills, and into the Village/City of Morell. Morell is, of course, an old Dasarian settlement, but was one of the first cities to ally with Varana (which the das1 players will remember), and as a reward is administrated by a native Dasarian/Morellian, not an imported Varanite bureaucrat.
But Morell is no diamond in the Vokk's rough. The war on the frontier has left the region rather run-down as of late—the Imperial government has more issues to tend to with Kor and the Canas Insurgency, and thus many Varanite brigades and legions have been pulled from the Vokk front and summarily transferred to the Two-Bridges front.
Thus, Morell is not as it used to be. Being the only independent Varanite settlement in the region, the village prospered and began to come into its own (the embargoes and hostilities between Dasar/Daris and Morell before the fall kept the settlement reasonably oppressed).
However, without Imperial muscle, the village's influence near Vokk territory has been steadily decreasing. Outlaws and thieves now find Morell a comfortable solace from the increasingly aggressive Vokk.

Guifford's General Produce, the local general store.
A Church of Teshalia.

Not sure abou this but not long ago the server had some downtime due to a move. A temporary server was set up - the one area in that server was Morell.
So Patient One, with some luck and a motivated builder, we can all sooner or later walk around in that bustling mysterious town

Morell is "in the game" and will be accessible in the near future.
