Now that Magic Bags have been re-introduced to Das2, is there any chance that a recipe can be added for the GMB variety (i.e., 80% reduction)?
It would be nice if these were not in the loot tables, but were only introduced to the world via crafting, and then only by the highest level crafters (i.e., so they do not proliferate too egregiously.)
If this is not possible, it's okay. Would just be a fun thing for crafters to aspire to making one day.

I know I'm broadening the topic somewhat here, but I really like the idea of crafters having 'something to aspire to'. Perhaps not necessarily magic bags, I'm pretty happy with those the way they are at the moment, really, although I suppose -80% ones would be even nicerBobzim wrote:Now that Magic Bags have been re-introduced to Das2, is there any chance that a recipe can be added for the GMB variety (i.e., 80% reduction)?

It'd be great if there was some kind of high level enchantment that could only be done by a high level crafter, using several extremely rare ingredients. Perhaps it could even require multiple steps to make, for example, ridiculously high craft weapon skill to forge a blade from a special material, and then a high level crafter with CMA&A AND CWI to do the enchantment (and both steps have to be done to fully complete the weapon). That would really give us something to aspire to!
And in terms of 'epic' equipment (oh no, I WoWed!) I think it'd be really nice to include some stuff that is more powerful than the current best items, but insanely hard and/or time consuming to get hold of. It doesn't even have to be that much better than the normal stuff. A +3 longsword with 1d6 or 1d8 elemental damage instead of the 1d4 crafters can give you right now would be fine. But it'd give people something to strive for, and could be a really nice reward for a long, involving chain of quests, perhaps. At the moment there's no real sense of accomplishment to having a really nice piece of equipment, mainly because there's nothing in the game that is THAT difficult to get.

Hehe, I can only second the Explorer. To me, finding one of those super-rare essences which is needed to craft a +3 weapon is a longterm goal. And since I've heard only the SPOILERSPOILER drops them, and even him not always, I'm sure it will keep me motivated for a long long time.

Heh. No that was possible, but what is impossible is putting a bag of holding inside itself, it makes the world explode.Guten Raynor wrote:We don't have an portable holes implemented... how did it crash the serv...
