Who's voting?

I think its just players recognizing other players. If you don't want to participate I don't (think) anyone is holding a gun to your head and making you participate. If you want to give a PM to another play to recognize them in private rather than public, nothing wrong with that to.

Of course, if theres a reward involved...please send all cash entries to the following paypal e-mail address...

This thread is for fun only.

So I think we should get back to what the OP was saying.

Agreed with Minuvas.

I haven't played much, but there are certain players that did provide some fun while playing at the same time as they did. I quite enjoyed playing with Dusty, Minuvas and Fox.

Oh, and Kartina; that was a very nice experience and just as with Dusty, I only played once, but it was thoroughly enjoyable.

I'm sure there are many more people out there, but I haven't met them, given I played and play for very brief periods of time.

Edit: I have to mention Chia as well actually, though I've not had the pleasure to meet this player in game, the posts on the forum always make me smile, and for that Chia is one of my favourite Dasarians. : )

Each of my top five favourite Dasarians make up 1/5 of the server.

My initial reaction to this thread was similar. "This is a bad idea. Some players are going to feel left out. This is going to turn into a popularity contest". Then I changed my mind.

I think pointing out good role-playing traits or player traits by example is informative to the community. It's not a popularity contest. It's a way of patting each other on the back, and examining what it is players consider quality enhancing play in Dasaria.

Condemning this sort of thread because some players might feel 'less important' is misguided reverance. If some players want to openly compliment others efforts, I don't see why they cannot participate in this thread.

Well, things like this are naturally going to turn into a popularity contest, but that doesn't mean you can't take this chance to do as Grayle said, and give a pat on the back to the people who deserve it.

I left it fairly open criteria-wise, mine was based around RPing and adventuring experiences, so I really think that anyone could find at least one person they like for at least one reason.

interesting point. Then i'll participate: My favourite dasarians are most everyone. I've yet to find a player that is a complete idiot or something like that, and i've enjoyed the company of everyone. A good player is someone who can keep OOC chat in friendly terms, and thats about it. So my favourite dasarian is <insert your name here>, and myself ofcourse

I think all of your characters are too emo. Therefore I hate them all.

There now no one feels left out
I'm always right. I'm also a jerk. It's not my fault you can't get over the latter to see the former.

Hurray for Me!

I'm just going to go by today.

Myriah - Because RP Seth when she is around is so great that.. well... I can't explain it. It's rejuvenated my will to play, that's for sure.

Eric - Had some minor rp with him before today, but we really hit it off big today. Can't believe I haven't cooled down entirely yet. Just Amazing play, man. Well done.

Maeve - She has this mystic allure about her, but also dishes out a rather astonishing amount of "get the hell away". At least towards Seth. Found myself thinking "oh, this will be fun" when I saw her comming. Good stuff there!

Vay - Only spoke briefly to him, but I feel he should be mentioned anyway. What little RP we had was really solid and he pulled off the accent really well.
Moreover, I advise that Carthage must be destroyed.

There are a lot of characters that I really enjoy interacting with, and some that I just stand in awe of even though I almost never see them.

Top on my "puts my RP to shame" list would be Minuvas, Pylia, and Draco. The kind of RP consistency and quality they put forward seems to be in a class all by itself.

There are many, many other characters whom I really enjoy interacting with, many of whom are also very good RPers. I hesitate to list them all because I know I'll forget someone deserving. Just know that if I regularly chat with you, then (duh) it's because I enjoy your character(s).

There are also many characters who, because of timezone or IC reasons, I might not get to interact with, but I try to keep up with the stories posted on the forum here and really enjoy reading them. The entire community is way above average.

Lastly, but not least (leastly?), the DMs and builders here rock. From the areas, to the quests, to the backstory, to the in-game DM interaction, it's stunning (in a good way). You all deserve a Wayne and Garth style "I'm not worthy."

Well. I haven't played in 4 months or something close to that. I can hardly remember anyone and I'm sure most of those players are long gone. The only person I can point out is

Akara Selm

I had the best rp ever during our night sessions on the server. Best regards, my friend :)

Well, rather than ranking, ill just do a short list of people, and mabye something I think they are good at

Hagen von Tronje-Killing stuff, and keeping me from killing stuff that would get me killed in response

Sirius-For coming up with some awesome in depth, devious plots concerning other characters, and being the only one to acknowledge my existance (-.-)

Minuvas-For just being damn good at RP, and such

CaliliaD/Dragonfly/ some such/Urg something i cant ever remember-For some nice character concepts, and lots of fun quests

last and if i had to say, highest on the list, despite his being absent to have to get his life in order.
Sanosuke-For some awesome times in game, and some damn fun quests

I've learned so much about role-playing (and writing!) from this Kiwi.
