The rabbit walked quickly through the bushes in to the clearing, where it spotted it's master seated on a mossy rock, reading out of a book. The book was covered with arcane runes, and at irregular intervals the elf would pull out a quill and ink and make a note in one of his spell books. Elvith calmly placed the book on his pack as the animal approached, and spoke with a calm tone.
"Gaery, what news do you bring?"
The elf and the rabbit spent a few moments in apparently deep thought, then the elf nodded, and the animal returned to it's quiet munching of leaves.
"Hmm... most interesting. That coupled with my invisible wanderings of Cear gives me a much better view of the big picture. It appears as though I am in some trouble for my actions, but no matter, soon the guards will arrest any black-haired wood elf they see, and without proper evidence or description they can only imprison, not behead. (Hopefuly) Perhaps soon it will be safe for me to reenter Cear on my own, until then we will be careful. As to the matter at hand, I cannot see how the Cearians think of that as tampering with evidence. They know how it was done, they know why it was done, they know who it was done to and they have their records. In addition to that, the med did not deserve to have their bodies strung up on display! Even priests of the Tyrant god do not deserve such a fate! If the end of the church of lochwar does come, it will not be because some ignorant group of murderers and assassins has it's way. To fight evil, one must not use evil means, for fear of becoming evil himself. The flame cleanses all, and leaves no impurities, only ashes to grow in to a new world. Fire is as good of a solvent as water, one should not fear either, but respect and honor both."
Calmer now, after sharing his feelings with his familiar, Elvith cast a simple spell, and melted from sight.
((For your viewing pleasure, a description of the elf, as given by the incompetent constable))
Elf, sort of short, but maybe tall for an elf, haven't seen too many, and the groud was sort of bumpy so he might have been taller then he appeared.
Brown skin, but not too brown, almost the color of tea.
Green eyes, although the left one might have had a slight blue tint to it, now that I look back on the incident...
Black hair, but strangely brown eyebrows, still black of course.
He wore a nice cloak, blue, with green, maybe some other colours.
He carried no weapons, and had no equipment with him.
He threw fire at the bodies, the death smell was gone, but I can't stand the smell of burning.
He seemed like a nice enough fellow, a bit odd, but nice nonetheless, offered to help take down all of the bodies he did, of course, I couldn't have stopped him if I wanted to, so you really can't balme me, right?
Here is Your Damned Net....
Minuvas sits in his office.
Speaking to his Lieutenant "Seven Lieutenant. Seven Dead members of Lochwar now must , on their official Imperial Documents be noted as 'SLAIN BY HERETIC'. But only one body. Who could be so vile, as to desecrate our men even more.
I thought it was the Heretic that used the evil flames of Girru to poison the bodies, but now I am getting reports that it was an Elf. An Elf who thinks they were acting out of Goodness? What sort of warped education are these people getting. Do they still hold Sympathy for Girru?
No more an accursed fate could it be for a follower of Lochwar to be taken by flames, the flames of the false God. They should have been beheaded as is Honorary Lochwar tradition. Now they are doomed in the afterlife, despite their service in life. I want every suspicion reported, every single one documented. If someone so much as gives you a dirty look, you send their description to the Fleet.
If you even hear RUMORS that someone is a Girru follower, I want you to get everything you can about them - and forward that to the Guard as well. We will leave no stone unturned, begin speaking with our greatest supporters - the Citizens. Surely there is someone, who knows something about this.
I offer a reward of 30 Emperors to any man who has information that leads to the capture of this Heretic. Yes Lieutenant, 30,000 crowns. I do not jest. Lets make it happen"

"Fools.
"They do not know why we fight...why no earthly force can hinder us, and why we defy the unearthly that might. I wonder how many ignorant among them still believe their dictator-god has earned his place rightfully? A scoundrel at the behest of a greater scoundrel, that is truly why! That is why the true inheritor of the throne was passed over, why two bitter children were left to squabble over it.
"But it does not matter, does it? Our purpose is clear, one way...or another. Clear to us, of course...the lemmings of Druaga are ever-scurrying, turning over simple rocks to find magnificent truths! They look for signs within signs, in spite of what I have graciously offered them. If they think they have seen the coup de grâce, the true fire of faith...then they are just as I have said.
"Fools."
He looks up from the table, locking eyes with the adjacent man. The still silent conspirator simply smiles, and nods.
"Well spoken, brother...but it is action that will win the day, is it not? We must steel ourselves, for the best is yet to come."
His smile creeps upward into a grin.

For Immediate Release by the Church of Lochwar ~ to the Cerulean Fleet, The Following Information has been compiled:
"Commodore,
We are fairly sure we have cracked the images and description of this Heresy, and have come to a fair conclusion about most of the images.
The Net, this symbol even amongst our Pantheon has long since represented Tharon.
The Flame, this is the false symbol of the False Lord of Flame - Girru the Usurper.
The Wicked Claw, we believe this strongly to be the Destroyer of God's.Ch'taia.
We have yet to determine the meaning behind the image of Ch'taia with three crowns upon its head.
Now, we also know from our extensive knowledge of the religions of the Barbarians - they falsely believed Tharon to be the king of God's. They also believed Girru was was a defender of the throne from Our Lord Lochwar.
Now you and I both know this to be lies, we need only see an Empire that stretches as far as the eye can see, to prove Lochwar rules. What troubles me is why this heretic chooses to evoke the right of the dead God, Ch'taia.
There was a recent cult, the Namregs who were stout followers of Ch'taia. I had assumed most of their membership had fled, slain, or been consumed by the wilderness. Considering they may have aligned themselves in this purpose, I have forwarded all relevant information on the Namregs to this office included within this report.
Additionally, we see that the bodies of the Neophytes were made in a shape of Tharon's holy symbol, but that they were consumed in a fashion similar to how the Blasphemers of Girru destroy their dead - by flame.
It would be my highest suggestion that all followers of Tharon within the city are brought in for questioning, especially in regards to their acknowledgment of the true pantheon. Those with Dasarian heritage should be given further scrutiny. I do not know of any Citizens who speak even of whispered rumors of Girru.
This leads me to believe this a small, but mad cult. They are most likely not followers of the Dead God, nor would they find tremendous support amongst the true-believers of Tharon. They seem to believe in Girru, and the False Lord of Flame has consumed their minds and burned their reason to ash.
I would therefore ask that we become more stringent in enforcing the usage of fire within the city. For purposes only of lighting ones way. The Church would be more than happy to allow Citizens to exchange their torches for the Blood-Rings of Lochwar. They have been infused with a Neophytes blood and sweat, and will glow a Crimson red - allowing for illumination in the area.
The following things remain unsure. We do know that Ch'taia is represented, but why would Girru or Tharon be represented amongst their mortal enemy. Even the Barbarians believed Tharon was a bitter opponent of Ch'taia.
We do know that Ch'taia created a mighty Three-headed beast to lead her army. But no mention of crowns up on its head.
We shall provide further information as it is found, Commodore.

The knock was sharp, echoing off the mostly barren stone walls of the small office.
"Yes?"
The neophyte creaked the heavy oak door open slowly, taken aback by the relative blackness of the room he entered compared to the well lit hall. As his eyes adjusted he examined the office briefly, noting a single well-stocked bookcase in one corner and an armor stand in the other, the two flanking a simple wooden desk in the center of the room. Hanging from a steel chain fixed high on the ceiling was a simple ring emitting an amount of crimson light sufficient enough only to illuminate the desk below it. His eyes were brought to focus beyond the light source at the sound of a stern, annoyed voice.
"Neophyte. Speak up now or leave me be."
"My many apologies Lieutenant. I have a letter for you straight from the hand of Father Minuvas. He says it comes from the Commodore and is quite urgent."
Zadrithurn motioned with his free hand to the underling to place the letter on his desk, saying nothing as he scribed unknown commands upon unknown documents. The priest-in-training knew he was dismissed. Taking a deep breath, relieved that the encounter was over, he moved to quickly slip out the door and back to the moderate comfort of his cot.
Rather than finding the welcoming warmth of the torches lighting the hall, the Neophyte found cold, solid steel at his cheek as he ran face first into the breastplate of a well-armed Fleetsman. The soldier placed a solid gauntlet on the modest stature of the clergyman and flung him aside, out of the Fleet delegation's way. Blood pumping and nerves twitching again, the poor Neophyte clutched the stone wall to support himself, and turned only in time to see the office door close behind the Ensign as he entered Lieutenant Coadjutor Zadrithurn's office. The remaining Fleetsmen flanked either side of the door and simply stared back at the Lochwarian devotee, leaving him to sulk back to his quarters both startled and confused.

The Commodore reads the notices forwarded to him, tapping the piece of parchment in thought as he considers the recommendations.
Setting them down, he motions to a nearby Constable.
"Please notify our liaison at the Ministry that I would like to speak with her, at her earlier convenience."
The Commodore sets the letter down, leans back in his chair, and tugs introspectively on his bearded chin.

An anonymous letter, unsigned and written with a basic unremarkable script, is send to the headquarters of the Fleet:
Master Officers of the Fleet,
After some study of the goings on and based on some knowledge of old Dasarian lore, it may be important to note two things: the former Dasarian Kingdom was as much, if not more, opposed to followers of Ch'taia than the Empire. If possible I would suggest looking up the records of the Kingseekers concerning struggles against the Dark Druids. Further, there is another option to explain the dragon heads and claw: in the Dasarian view of the gods, Etoth, who they knew as Anu, was not only the judge and an adviser to the ruler of the pantheon, but was also lord of the dragons.
In other words, if the claw and dragon heads symbolize Ch'taia, you are most likely not dealing with Dasarian rebels, but something new, or someone completely misguided. If they symbolize Etoth, or in this case, Anu, there is potentially something going on with a rebellion.
However, the occurrences have specifically been directed against the Church of Lochwar, which makes things seem religious in nature. Again, citing the Dasarian view of the pantheon, perhaps these are cultic followers of Marduk, Anu, Girru and, potentially, Utu who seek to rebel against the prevailing, Lochwarian, view of the gods.
