Spinach Quiche

1/2 c butter
3 cloves garlic, chopped fine
1 small onion, chopped fine
1 (10 oz) pkg frozen chopped spinach, thawed and drained
1/2 c mushrooms, sliced
1 ( 6 oz) pkg feta cheese, crumbled ( I like the herb and garlic)
1 c cheddar cheese, shredded
1 (9 inch) unbaked deep dish pie crust
4 eggs, beaten
1 c milk
salt and pepper to taste
1 small pinch of fresh dill

Preheat oven to 375 degrees

In a medium skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Saute garlic and onion in butter until lightly browned ( about 5-7 minutes) Stir in spinach, mushrooms, feta, and 1/2 c cheddar cheese, Season with salt and pepper and dill. Spoon mixture into pie crust.

In a medium bowl, whisk together eggs and milk. Pour into the pastry shell, allowing egg mixture to thoroughly combine with spinach mixture.

Bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes. Sprinkle top with remaining cheddar cheese and bake an additional 35 to 40 minutes, until set in center. Allow to stand 10 minutes before cutting.

Lovely Chilli, although its not the traditional sort (it just contains chili)

1KG Beef Mince
3 large onions
2 tins baked beans
1heap table spoon crushed garlic
1 teaspoon of dried chilli
heinz tomato sauce (bottled)
1 heaped teaspoon of marmite (yes, yes marmite but not just for the sake of it  )
chilli powder

cook the meat in a big pan till all brown, drain any grease.
put the three chopped onions (large chop) into the mix and stir for about 5-10 mins whilst adding the garlic, dried chilli and marmite.
put hefty splurgin of tommy k on the top of it all and mix in nice.
add the 2 tins of beans and keep stirrin for another 10 to 15 mins and cover the whole top with chilli powder and stir it all in.
serve in a big bugger bowl and munch happily.
I don't feel any shame, I won't apologise

Because Fall is in the air

Hot Buttered Rum Batter

1/2 pound butter
1/2 pound brown sugar
1/2 pound confectioners ( powdered) sugar
2 c vanilla ice cream, softened
1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg

Melt butter in a medium pot over medium heat. Blend in brown and confectioners sugars. Remove from heat and wisk in the ice cream, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Pour mixture into a plastic container, seal and freeze.

In a coffee mug, measure 1 tablespoon of the Hot Buttered Rum Batter and 1 fliud ounce of Rum ( I perfer dark rum), then fill cup with boiling water. Stir, and sprinkle the top with nutmeg.

This makes enough batter for 50 servings. The batter will last about 3 months in the freezer.

On a side note Stoney, I added a tablespoon of Marmite into the pot the last time I made a tomatoe sauce and it was delish.

My job here is complete. All things Marmite have already affected the masses of Americans that are in Dasaria. On to pollute another board.

Here's a simple recipe that anyone can do,

Beer-Butt chicken

Ingredients:

1/2 Can of Beer
A whole (dead and plucked) chicken.
a cookie pan

Take a full can of beer and do your thing until half full. Insert can halfway into the chicken's butt and sit it up so that the chicken is balanced upon the can.

(I've usually done this upon a BBQ, but an oven would work just aswell, probably set to around 350)

Place the chicken in it's upright position onto the cookie pan (to catch dripping grease) and insert into Oven/BBQ until chicken is fully cooked and Enjoy.

It's the most silly recipe in the world but wait until you try it. :P The beer vapours marinate the chicken in just the right way that'll leave your mouth watering.
