BEFORE IT WAS CHANGED, what was the elemental spell that a mage could cast to do a nice amount of damage to her? And I'm not thinking about Undeath to Death.

Peralia is Ereshkigal. Ereshkigal appeared in Dasaria 1 during an event run by DM Chicken Little in which some of the heroes of Daris had wandered into an enclave of evil Colothian mages. While there they messed with a statue that shattered and then Nergal appeared and thanked the party for freeing his wife, Ereshkigal, from being imprisoned by Coloth.

The retconned god is a spin off of another god to divide that god's portfolio. The Dasarian name for this god is actually a secondary name of the god from the Sumerian Pantheon that had its portfolio divided.

Sorry, nope. Anu's always been a major god in the Dasarian pantheon. In fact, in the old Dasarian Pantheon, Anu had another title that the Varanites don't have: Lord of Dragons.

Hint 2:
The Sumerian name for this deity is one that became the new god. The Babylonian name is the one that continues to be used as the Dasarian name of the god that had its domain split.
