Because you enjoy levelling but have a hell of a time finding people to group up with. It sucks spending half an hour trying to find someone to group with you, who then spends the entire damn dungeon babbling on OOC about this or that inane topic.

Some ability to level up solo without having to resort to being a cleric or a wizard would be nice. That said, I don't think the current areas should be tweaked to accommodate it.
I solo quite a lot. And I party quite a lot. For all kinds of different reasons. Maybe I just dont feel sociable but love to play Das sometimes, maybe I feel really sociable and all I do for 2 hours is stand about watching and rping things.

At the moment in Das, partied stuff is great. Difficulty of what I have seen so far (upto bugbears) is fine for parties.

I get frustrated when I want to do some soloing because I find it hard, and generally don't tend to make any XP progress. IE: gain 800 loose 800, or I can spend some time somewhere else but not progress much, and not enjoy it 'cause its too easy.

Although, I hear there maybe some more firednly solo content in the future, so all good.

I was hoping, that there may even be a couple of conversation initiated solo-only quests..!

And come on Jeh, I mean, you bang on about other people exploiting all the time ...

Accusing Jeh not only of exploiting, but using a power build to do it after they've outright said that they don't use powerbuilds, and calling every single NPC in the area a "powerbuild" is just hilarious.

I have one request. In the Kalem Guild before you fight Zoey, there is a door with no key. It is currently completely invulnerable and can only be opened by using pick locks. I would like the door to also be opened by Knock. This is the only time I thought the spell might come in handy and was shocked when it didn't work since you usually find knock scrolls during the quest.

Hey, if you pay me enough, I can live with being called "Knock".

It's nice to hear the finger wagglers can't handle a thing or two, for once.

I have found all the content well balanced overall. My only complaint would have to be that the trolls take no physicals damage. I'd suggest giving them a high damage reduction say 15 or 20 instead of just taking damage only from fire & acid.

That'd still draw the fight out alot but allow players with power attack and Imp power attack to do there job's.

The idea behind the insane DR is to move away from the emphasis on the big hitters, which overall the encounters in the module favour, to one where a certain finesse and speed will actually prove more effective. The caves are tight and dark, and the Trolls are huge. It is fairly clear to me that someone who is quick and fast should excel under those conditions. But don't worry, what I did with the Trolls wont be a common thing, I just wanted to go for something a little different.

Even with DR of 15 or 20 a finesse two weapon fighter still would win on dmg against the trolls with 5+ attacks a round with flame weapon.

A scythe-wielding fighter would very likely be able to one-shot them on a critical.

Perhaps but that would be an extremely unlikely occurance. Atleast 1/1000 but with proper numbers I could give you the exact percentage.

It's your content and if you want to have titanium hide trolls that's fine but I find it very strange that something organic is able to completely brush off all physicals attacks ala' Superman style.

I enjoy a certain amount of realism and this is the only thing that really stand's out in my mind.

If the freebie flame weapon weren't at the entrance to the area, I'd say Wyvern was overreacting to the scythe potential...if there's no fire involved, you can't kill them anyway.

But 1) the flame weapon is there and 2) he's said it's not going to be the norm. A few stand places that are psychotically deadly (or at least "different") are cool.

You could always make them immune to critical hits if you want to get around the 3x and 4x multipliers of some weapons.

I for one love the fact that the warlock I get to play with regularly SHINES in the troll caves. It's good to make a certain class feel like they can contribute, especially classes that really don't have an easy time with other content by themselves, or even with small parties.

That is a very good point. I might revisit that when time allows.

Another option Wyv, would be to give them percentage immunities.

80% slash, bludgeon, pierce damage.

That way if someone crits them for 100 damage with a scythe, they only take 20 damage. Someone hits them for 10, they only take 2 damage. It more or less evens it out better than very huge DR because no matter what weapon the character is wielding, they're still able to do some sort of damage and help out.

Makes it so people that play ranged can do a little bit of hurt without having to spend an arm and a leg on fire or acid arrows.
