I would have liked to see more reasons why the Spartan culture was any better than the Persian culture. Other than they were prettier. And spoke with UK accents.
What do you expect from an action movie loosely based on real events?
I liked it, because I knew what not to expect. It's definitely one you can watch again (testament to a good film, I think). It's not mind-blowing, but it was enjoyable.
I saw 300 the other night with a mate and some beers, some good lines in parts and some of it was very ingrossing especially some of the fight sceens. Most of it was drawn out, worth watching on TV excetra but not really worthy of cinema. I would have prefered to see Hot Fuzz or Ghost Ryder in the cinema but my friend was solely wanting to see 300.
Oh well wasted another £20.

I'm going to see it on the weekend, I already have a feeling it'll be the best movie in a good long while (I thought the trailer was entertaining enough to watch multiple times, it sat on my desktop for like 5 months), but you never know.
I didn't watch it in good company. We kept whispering; dayum, he must have leveled. Dayum, that's like a lvl 40 against lvl 2. Dayum, that's not possible. Dayum, noob.
Ofcourse you are entitled to your opinion but maybe you need much louder speakers to feel the full effect of GhostRyder. I don't like bikes but the bike in the film makes such a cool sound which with feeling from base rumbling through your chair is all good.
Or then again maybe have a laugh with Hot Fuzz, I can't wait to see it.

Officially one of the greatest movies I have ever seen. My favourite theme in fantasy, the few against the many, done on a stupidly awesome and over exagerated scale. So many good lines, such brilliant cinematography, such epic action.
I'd give 300 a 7 or 8 for being repetitive. I give Casino Royale a 9, and only because they killed off the women (even though that was sort of central to the movie). Still, no excuse for killing women that hot.
