Ah yes.

A friend of mine was watching the movie "28 days later". At some point she rushes up and yells; "WHY THE HELL IS THE ONLY BLACK MAN IN THIS BLOODY MOVIE A ZOMBIE?! IT'S DISCRIMINATION!"

Petpeeve: People who -want- to feel discriminated, hence seeing -everything- as discrimination, manage to twist and turn everything to take offense (or even abuse!!!!) of the situation aswell by accusing people, pointing fingers and making people feel horrible for not being colorblind.
You're black. I'm white. I burn and get red in sun light. You look horrible with blue eyeshadow. We're only equal on the inside. We are different. It doesn't mean you're anything more or anything less then me. But dismissing it would be silly. You don't want to look silly with blue eyeshadow, do you? And I like my suncream. Very much so. Let's say hurray for Variety.

Totally agree with you here.

There are so many people out there who will cry "discrimination" rather than admit that they might not have been good enough. The really sad thing is that so long as they delude themselves that its discrimination and not any fault of their own they'll never improve or sort themselves out and they'll just get more bitter and twisted over how "unfair" it all is.

My old platoon sergeant was once accused of racism by a soldier who failed initial recruit training.

His reply

I didn't fail you because of your race, I failed you because you're a useless, ignorant, idle sh#thead who would be more of a danger to his platoon than to the enemy!

The military enquiry's findings read

Whilst Sergeant ######'s phraseology was regrettable, his assessment was supported by all evidence. Private ######'s services are no longer required by Her Majesty's Armed Forces

Another colleague of mine has a tee shirt which reads

Just because you're a member of a minority doesn't mean your not an ar$ehole
