On a bleek and rainy day

During his act Rhode managed to secret out a small vial of acid which he poured on to his shoulder where Nathen had touched him. His subvert action was hiden by the wild thrashing of his arms and legs and cries of agony.

The strong acid quickly burned through his cloak and armour finally scalding his skin underneath. Small tendril's of smoke rose up from the damaged clothing as Rhode spun around sitting up in the mud glaring at Nathen as he pushed himself away from the man towards where Faen stood.

"Coloths Sack dat hurts!" he cursed spitting the words out. "Don't yous bes putt'n yer demon paws on mes again yer Piker."

He pauses in his rant and glances down where Fuzzy is hiding under Faens robes. The spiders mandibles clicking together.

"Aye spider Is need'n sometin from yous." Rhode suddenly dives under Faens skirt chasing after Fuzzy.

[Vahene]

Faen catches the back of Rhode's neck and jerks him away from her skirts.

"If you need THAT again, you could ask Fuzzy," Faen hissed, her eyes sharply narrowing.

"Ack!" Rhode gags as Faen lifts up on the back of his collar.

He stands up next to her with a smirk; light wisps of smoke still spiralling up from the burn on his shoulder.

"Draco can gets 'is own woman if'n 'e tired of Phylia by nows. Is aint interested in shar'n wit im."

He tosses a small empty glass vial on the ground near Feans feet. "Fuzy if'n you coulds fills dat fer mes ans just web it up on some wall somewhere sos Is can finds it whens yous done."

His amused look changes suddenly as his eyes dart between Nathen and Ananiki. "A tree guarded bys a demon? Who woulda thought?" He glances at his blistered shoulder.

He jumps suddenly at Ananiki and then just as quick jumps back to Faens side the whole time glaring at Nathen.

Nathen is not amused by Rhode jumping back and forth, this reminds him of children "crossing the other's line" just to annoy each other. I assure you, I am no demon he says, leaving the title "Sir" off for someone more deserving and looking at Rhodes shoulder suspiciously. In an exasperated tone Nathen says I would much appreciate it if you stopped playing your games and leaved this miss alone. Nathen almost wishes he hadn't stopped to see how this woman was doing, though now he would never forgive himself if he left her alone with such a person as Rhode. He thinks to alert the guards but decides not to know they would probably not waste their time on such trivial matters.

Faen glanced down at the spider and sighed, waving her hand towards the vial. In Infernal, she said, "You might as well. He doesn't know we have four of those filled at home.. one more won't hurt you, you said so yourself this morning."

The spider retorted in the same language, "Easy for you to say. You don't have to do it, do you?"

In Common, she glanced at Rhode, "Give him a few moments." The spider dragged the vial with his teeth towards a copse of trees nearby. Digging in with his front teeth and mandibles, a bit of venom trickled into the vial as the spider disappeared into one of the treetops. She winced as she heard some creative cursing from her familiar.. amazed that some of them were in common for once.. a rarity.

At Nathen's request Rhode shrugged his shoulders, one painfully, and smirked. "Alright den, but yous best keep yer paws off'n mes."

He walked over to Ananiki. "Is gots an offer fer yous. Is knows of a garden wot bes need'n a tree if'n yous interested. Dar bes plenty of flowers ans nice fresh sea air."

During the entire argument, Ananiki had remained completely still. Even when Rhode had first grabbed her, she did not move. However, after hearing what the man had just said to her, her attention seemed to focus on him. With her mouth still closed, she let out a hum with an inquiring inflection: "Hmm?"

In reference to keeping his hands off Rhode, Nathen replies, Gladly, but narrows his eyes suspiciously at the man as he asks Ananiki his question. Nathen, a little surprised to hear her make a noise, wonders where this is going.

[TitusMcGinty]

Always drawn to a crowd, though the opposite is twice as unlikely, Titus skips to see what is causing all the fuss. He knocks Nathan to the side as he rushes to the middle of the group. The gnome twirls around, plays a little ditty on his flute, and then bows for the crowd.

"Thank you, Thank you. My adoring fans, My adoring fans. This is but a sampling of my unlimited talents that I, Titus McGinty am world famous for."

He plays the flute again, hitting several bad notes, "Don't forget! Tomorrow you will see an encore performance of my smash hit, The Assassination of Titus McGinty by that No Good, Dirty Marak who Steals Chickens and Is Also Not Very Nice! Written, directed, and starring me, Titus Mcginty! The world famous Cearian Players Society led by me, Titus McGinty will perform this critically acclaimed hit on stage in the Inn by the docks. I don't remember the name, but it's over there somewhere. Just look for the long line of people wrapped around the block."

He dances a little jig and spins around. "Don't ask me; listen to what the critics have to say," he pulls out a little parchment. "What a good play." - Titus McGinty. "Titus does it again." - Titus McGinty. "The best play ever written." - Titus McGinty. "How does he do it?" - Titus McGinty...

After bracing himself from the rude, speedy gnome, Nathen, quite jostled, exclaims My good sir!... Then all he can do is stare at Titus, his jaw drops a little. He is dumbfounded.

Using the distraction caused by Titus Rhode leans forward and whispers into to Ananiki's ear. "Go down to da docks and finds a man called Captain Whitney. Tell 'm yous dar to see Rhode's garden. Don't let any follow yous. It bes a secret garden."


Rhode smiled slyly as he slipped into the shadows near the tree.
