I just wrote up what could be called a short biography of myself, so I'm just going to copy somebody else's format.
Name: Andrew
Age: 13
Was born in: CT, USA
Current Residence: CT, USA
Status: Insane and proud of it
Education: currently in Grade 7
Employment: Student, and not payed enough for it
game experience: few NES and SNES games, few N64 games; a lot of GCN and XBOX games; NwN1, Oblivion, NwN2
Why and how I am here: My stepdad, before taking on an outdoors craft hobby (along with my help he built a bocce court and a horseshoe pit in our backyard that can just barely not be considered official), played for countless hours on the NWN PW Story "Avlis". When I was eleven I greatly enjoyed watching him roleplay, and eventually he let me play the NWN OC on the kids' computer in May 2005. I asked him if I could go online and play like him when I got bored of the OC, but he said no because I couldn't play online using his CD. So I went out and bought my own copy of NWN, and at first he wouldn't let me play online because he didn't know of any 11-year-old orientated servers. But I searched, and found Dasaria in the Top Five PW Story servers list on NeverwinterConnections; it wasn't the first one I looked at, but it was the first server that said "Mature content: No" that I looked at. So my stepdad read the forums, and eventually he let me sign onto Dasaria. My first troubles were the hakpaks, but worse ones involving age came after, and based on my decisions, I might not have even been writing this right now. But that's irrelevant. I have been on three NWN PW's, and by far, Dasaria, my first and last, was the best.

Remember, I said 'twelve for the second time', which implies that I also turned twelve in 2005, just to make my meaning clear. So that's more credit than I deserve, considering I took the Peter Pan Liberty feat, allowing me to reverse my age.
Interesting personalities here; it seems most people have gone/are going to college, which doesn't make me want to deviate from DnD in the least.
This thread is definitely a great idea; it adds to the community feeling of Dasaria. 'Twould have been a great addition to Dasaria 1!
Definitely gives me ideas. . . ooh, I've got an idea! Why doesn't everybody post traits synonymous (or antonymous) between their characters and themselves? I'll go first:
Evelond Formos talks to himself quite often, just like I do.
Evelond Formos is reletively patient, which, in real life, I am not by any means.
Can't wait to see what people make of this one.

When everything is coming your way, you're in the wrong lane.
Hello all, been playing on this server for a bit now and enjoying it quite a bit. I am 28 and my name is Charles. For now I live in a city north of Dallas called Denton. Currently, I am pursuing my Doctorate in Music Perfomance for the Double Bass. I also work as a freelance musician and teach privately.
As for gaming I was a big fan of playing NWN1 espcially PWs. I played on two servers mostly the first was Soul Forge, and the other which took most of my soul for a while was Narfell. Before that I had been playing games both on and off the computer for years. I look forward to getting to play more with you all. Thanks again for helping make this server so great.
Wow Eve... If that were me I'd be like, "Yea yea, like I care what you say, you're not even my real dad and I hate you!!" and while he remains slightly hurt, yet bafflingly philsophical about the whole thing, I'd go check out the social servers for hawt cyb0rs3xz!
Of course when I was your age I could barely string two words together. All my text W4z l!K3 d|5 7074LLy and no one could understand it. So all in all, you're probably best off not listening to me.
I too will copy and paste a previous format as it's nice and informative:
Name: Dan Age: 18 Residence: Australia (Same suburb as Jim, Oose, tk, Cheese, majawi) Education: Currently completing a Bachelor of Design in Visual Communication (fancy way of saying graphic design - incidentally my username was spawned from my love for that field). Employment: Used to work casually at Woolworths for two and a half years, then quit to finish school. I'm currently working on and off with a professional photographer designing wedding albums, as well as recieving occasional video work from the local council. Basically I get payed to mess with Adobe Premiere and Photoshop.
I pretty much am what I play, and that is computer games, so what follows is a needlessly in-depth personal gaming history. I haven't been alive long enough to have experienced many true retro games, but I've been gaming since I got my first Amiga and 486, around the age of six.
Since then I've been an avid computer gamer, a PC purist of sorts. I was never too in to console games, and have never bought a system at launch. I was, however, a massive GameBoy fan, and would often have my eyes glued to that thing for hours. I know it sounds immature, but I still hold to this day that (given hardware constraints) Pokemon was one of the most well executed RPG's ever. It was also the game that introduced me to RPG's in general, as well as turn-based combat.
That's getting a bit ahead of myself though. Some of the first games I remember playing were brilliant platformers. Commander Keen, Jill of the Jungle, Captain Comic, Monster Bash, Duke Nukem, Xargon, Cosmo and Hocus Pocus pretty much sealed my fascination with games in general, and constitute my "first generation" of PC games.
The "second generation" only got better though. I began to break out into different genres and experience many different avenues of gaming other than the tried-and-true platformer. One Must Fall: 2097 managed to introduce me to 2D Beat-em-up's by drawing upon my love for robots (giant robots, nonetheless.) I have yet to enjoy a fighting game more than this, and the game has a lot of fond childhood memories attatched to it.
As I was still a kid, first-person shooters used to scare the hell out of me. The first one I remembered seeing was Wolfenstein 3D, when I watched my grandad play it on his Amiga. 'Course at the time I really didn't understand what a Nazi was, or why the game was so tongue-in-cheek. I think I remember screaming and running away when I came across the first machine-gunning blue guy, and making my sister cry because I shot the poor little attack dog (damn hippies). I found I was incredibly immersed by first-person shooters, almost to the point that I really really didn't want to die in them and get a "game over", as it was too scary. This was exemplified when playing Doom, a game that I could not play by myself for fear of having nightmares (and it did happen - god I sound like such a pansy.)
It was around this point that my dad introduced me to flight sims. More specifically, action packed space flight sims in the form of Terminal Velocity. This was great, as it was the first truely three-dimensional game I played, where you can move along any axis. At the time I also got my hands on some great little 2D arcade titles such as Raptor and Tyrian, which I played multiplayer for hours with a mate.
After this, I got my first PC upgrade. This was a big thing at the time, as it came with a Sound Blaster (you mean I can have speakers now?!), Diamond Viper videocard and my very own partitioned hard drive exclusively for games! It was around this point that my fascination with the design of original, virtual worlds emerged, thanks to some incredibly immersive, innovative and just damn gorgeous games. Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee is one of my all-time favourite games ever, so much so that I even cut the characters out of the box and stuck them on my schoolbooks. The Neverhood, whilst being somewhat eerie, was my first point-n-click adventure game, and still stands as one of the best.
Then we get to what is probably the most prominent and personally important game I've ever played: Thief. The world depicted in this game is just pure joy for me, a perfect fusion of the mechanical and the magickal. The games protagonist is probably the coolest guy in existence, with the possible exception of Solid Snake (more on him in a minute). I could write endlessly about why I love Thief, but I fear this post is already getting too long. The reason it's important to me, though, is the fact that it's playstyle has set the bar for how I play through every other game. Not so much the stealth element, but the careful, calculating and perfectionist/completist ways of playing through a game have stuck with me.
I think people are over this post by now so I'll just talk about two more games. Deus Ex introduced me to the world of the cyberpunk, and I have not looked back. I liked this game so much that I wrote an analysis of it for university. That pretty much sums it up. Oh, and having opposing AI's fighting each other for control of your brain is very cool. Last, but certainly not least, the Metal Gear Solid series. I played MGS 1 and 2 almost without breaks until I finished them, the story and presentation was that good. I am also yet to be moved by a game as much as I was by Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater. The characters, music, imagery...all are perfect.
So that's pretty much my gaming history. I'd need another whole post to talk about what I'm currently playing, but that's all secondary. As for role playing, I've never undertaken it in it's "official" form (be that Pen'n'Paper D&D or CRPG otherwise) but I've always been conducting something similar in the background, be that self-made missions, campaigns, fan-fiction, fan-art, or just plain day-dreaming about being a videogame character.
Apologies for the long post, but I love to write, and love videogames, so put the two together and you're gonna be reading a lot. As for life outside of games - who am I kidding, I don't really have one.
My name is Tim, I'm 25 and I'm a closet PnP gamer! haha
I'm from Texas, love italian and chinese food and should really be in bed right now. I've been gaming for forever and a day.
I've been in martial arts over 10 years (mainly 7* mantis and yang tai chi) and I am currently working on a bio degree with a mior in chem.
uhh I like cheese.
Sadly I've played the majority of the major MMO's, but the original EQ was definetly the longest. I normaly play Dark Elves/Drow (deal with it =P ). No, I'm not Chaotic Good shut up!! ; )
I'm a half and half when it comes to RP/Powergaming. Moderation in all things right~!?
Did I mention I like cheese?

I'm a 23 year old Aussie. I'm originally from Sydney, but I finished uni last year and I've moved to Adelaide (most boring city on earth) for work for a few years.
I'm a mechatronic engineer (long name. it's pronounced 'geek') and I also got a commerce degree for some reason unkown to me.
I loved NWN1 where I usually played arcane archer, but unfortunately that isnt really viable in NWN2 with the current bugs/missing feats.
I played WoW, but i hope you'll forgive me for that. I do miss some of the interface features from WoW that could have been easily put into NWN2 e.g. not having to type /p every time you want to send a party message. But I always found the character creation and development terribly hollow.
I've been enjoying Dasaria a lot since I started here. I haven't RP'd before so I havent really got the hang of it, and my character has been very inconsistent so far. I'll have to get on and decide how he's going to be.
Hi my names Nick and I'm a computerholic
I've been playing games since the old XT days and ASCII games.
First multiplayer game was Doom.
My pale complection lead me to be friends with the Nerdy crowd, and I discovered the joys of warhammer and PnP role playing (Robotech/Rifts).
Both of these lead to me finding my next bundle of joy a little latter than most, but needless to say, once I was in the drivers seat and have been hooked ever since.
Some where in the midst of all this, I managed to find a loverly young lass and get married.
so I'm now 27, been working for the same IT company for the last 7 years, have a bunch of IT certificates, married for over 4 years, still like to paint warhammer minitures, tinker with cars and play video games.
I was introduced to Das 1 by a friend at work, and have been hooked ever since.
When there is no other way, the perilous path is the only road to salvation.
My name is Byron Usmar, still living at home in Avalon Beach, Sydney. For the record, I love the beach. I'm now 21 and have been playing NWN since 2002 I joined Dasaria late that year.
Currently i'm completing my 2nd year in a BSc in Astronomy and Astrophysics and it's awesome! I'm really enjoying the degree it's filled with not just astronomy but maths, physics, and computing (not just programming but mathematical modelling as well ) but fantastic like minded people, that are loving it too. This year in particular I really delved into the campus lifestyle. I was the secretary for the Macquarie Uni, Film Society. We pretty much screen movies in one of the lecture theatres on Friday nights. One of the perks is an awesome office at uni which came with a fridge and couches then we hooked up with a TV, Playstation 2.
I also somehow found myself in the Musical Society, and actually performed in 3 shows this year! Whilst I have been playing the Piano and Trumpet for half my life... I've never really been a singer, so my roles have been chorus and the like or band (which is so much fun btw). But yeah, I was never really into performing before this year. I've just had such a blast! Met some awesome people as well.
I work weekends at K-mart, that pretty much covers petrol costs lately. In the Game section at that, which i'm pretty happy with actually
My gaming history starts with the Sega Mega Drive, "Columns" and "Sonic 2". My favorite games of that era. Moved on to the Playstation which I quickly abandoned for the Nintendo 64 once I saw Mario 64 and more importantly. The legend of Zelda- Ocarina of Time! I still hold, that this was one of the greatest games ever created, incredibly immersive, fantastic game play and one of the best story lines I've been through.
Next was the Playstation 2 and Nintendo Gamecube. And let's just say, I don't think I've put as many hours of my life into anything else, as much as I have with "Super Smash Brothers: Melee". Me and the lads (Jimmy, Cheese, tK) can play that for hours on end. And we are avidly looking forwards to the Wii, namely "Zelda- Twilight Princess" and "Super Smash Brothers: Brawl" which by the way. We are going to show you folks from Ohio just how badly you can get beat, with the ONLINE features of the Wii!!! It's bout time you ate your words.
Right now I'm in the middle of exams, so I'm not able to play Das II just yet, but soon. Real soon
For longer than I can remember I've gone by BJ. I've heard all the jokes, so don't even start
I've been playing video games of one sort or another since the original Pong. Had a commodore 64 when I was a kid, and I've actually got a TRS80 sitting in my truck at the moment (not that I'd remember any programming for it, but hey nostalgia is good).
I started into online gaming with NWN and the original Dasaria campaign. I played R'ekaan Blackrose, one of the original RedBoots. I found this to be an amazing group of players and DMs, to the point that I wound up following some of them on to other games (ShadowBane, Galaxies, WoW) and continued to come back to Dasaria for quite some time.
