No, phpBB3 does, provided the image is wider than the proscribed forum width. Most styles have a set "width" that cannot be changed. We'll just have to adapt.

On my screen, it seems fine. Even the widescreen screenshots in the screenshot thread seems fine. It does expand the black gap to the right of the banner, but it doesnt break the page or chop the image. Or am I missing something?

It definitely cuts it off for me. My resolution is 1280x1024.

It appears that this is a commonly reported issue on the phpbb boards. The best "fix" I've found is nothing more than a hack, which I'm disinclined to implement. We will just have to live with it for now, until an official fix is made (if ever). Hell, it may even be working as designed.

General notes:

In the top left corner, in white letters "ThorLargeX" is printed.

The current avatar restraints leave a lot of room to their left; increasing the allowed size wouldn't hurt much at all.

Also, the issue of attachments needs to be brought up. Will it be disabled? If not, what are the general guidelines for using it?

I've increased the avatar size to 180x180. I will change that text at the top sometime. Attachments should already be enabled.

I really like them theme, however the orange text on a tan background kinda hurts the eyeballs... maybe a link color with some more contrast to the background. ... similarly the button text like the bold italic underline quote buttons in posting could use more contrast.

Hmm..... to be honest I really don't like the new forum style. I MUCH preferred the 'wowgold' one. The colours on this one are far too garish, the 'parchment' texture looks terrible, and the white title at the top is hard to read against that background. The contrast between the two main colours (black and orange) is just too high to look good on a forum skin. In my opinion, subtle, complimentary colours work much better. Some of the text and graphics on this thing look very cheap and nasty (for instance the gradient-filled 'Dasaria II' at the top). And god only knows why every forum has an awful pixel-art picture of ammon jerro's ugly mug next to it.

I liked the old forum much better to be honest, it was nice and subtle, and well laid out. It didn't include graphics just for the sake of it like this one does. This one just looks like typical cheesy fantasy fare, all you need is a couple of animated flaming torch gifs at the top to finish the effect off. I know I'm being overly critical, but that's just how I am about stuff like this. In my opinion, the 'wowgold' style was a lot cleaner and much more stylish than this rubbish. I know it's a matter of personal opinion, and if this is what people like, then fair enough. But I just need to vent about how much I hate this style

The ammon-jerro replaces a night-elf, so I think it's a vast improvement.

I find this style is growing on me, but for those who dislike it, the wowgold is still possible for as an alternative. Just needs to be installed. You can have more than one style.

That's a point, we used to have a phpBB board a long time ago back when I had a guild wars guild. Isn't it possible to install multiple styles and allow users to choose whichever one they prefer (just for themselves)?

Another thing I noticed.... would it be possible to increase the maximum filesize allowed for uploading avatars? At the moment the maximum is 6kb, and it's pretty much impossible to get anything bigger than a smiley into that..... It seems people's avatars have carried over from the old forums (and are over 6kb) but mine got crushed out of proportion and when I tried to fix it I came up against this rather stingy limit. I've tried uploading it to photobucket and then linking from that, too, but it just tells me 'unable to determine the dimensions of the avatar' and throws it back in my face
