I didn't think I was flaming. I am stating that I disagree with her (character was a girl so I'm assuming...) actions. I have nothing against her as a person, since I know nothing about her.

From what I understand, the point of this thread is to talk about people who do exactly what Cain's character does. "Kill stealing" is even in the title.

I agree with you about the thread, angel - you're not flaming or derailing. Like you said, it's in the title.
angel rogue wrote:It wasn't your hunt. You were fighting other creatures in the area. We engaged these boars. You inserted yourself in a fight that wasn't yours, and then looted hides from creatures you did not kill. Without any roleplaying at all. There are going to be a lot of people online in the same area at the same time. But if someone has engaged an enemy first, it's their enemy.
So the fact that I hit them with my bow first and you guys thoughtlessly meleed them afterwards makes you guys the kill stealers? Because I was hitting them with my Longbow (+2/+2) before ANYONE (including me) got anywhere close and then you guys would melee them while they were charging at me. And no, I wasn't going to stop attacking them or getting the hides I needed (with bow, or melee) just because someone else jumped in too. Not to mention that you must have missed all the damage I was doing with my bow from far away... (you didn't really think 3 level twos were doing that much damage, that quickly to boars, did you?)

Not to say I actually think what you guys were doing was kill stealing, but by your definition...
angel rogue wrote:Level 4 or 5 including the fact that Drow have a +2 level adjustment?
Yes, which is the point - it takes me MUCH longer to level (and is harder as an underpowered class...) so you can sure bet I'm not gonna just let some level 2's hunt out an area just because they need to grind weak enemies too. Competition for kills you both need isn't the same as kill stealing.

Also explains why I'm not gonna party up with anyone else on a grind - it takes long enough solo, nevermind splitting kill XP.
angel rogue wrote:Oh, so since I'm telling you that I think you should be more considerate to lower level characters that can't retaliate to your hostile actions, this has someone translated to "I need to be more rude and try harder to piss other players off."
Um, yeah... that wasn't meant to be taken exactly literally.

And FYI, you three lvl 2's probably could have taken me if you tried. Don't ask me how I know, it's embarrassing. But suffice to say, you weren't unable to retaliate if you chose to.
angel rogue wrote:When I offered to party with you (rather then get angry at you stealing from me, which was my first inclination) I was at the same level as you, playing another character. I took from that encounter that you weren't necesarily a poor newbie in need of help leveling, but that you were just inconsiderate.

When did I say you were ignoring me? I just said you didn't roleplay when you stole other's loot. You don't do it for an in character reason, you do it because the loot is there and you're trying to level your character.
Yeah, I wasn't stealing it anymore from you guys than you were from me. We were *both* grinding for XP and loot, and I really don't get the big deal about two groups or people competing legitimately for the same kills and loot - the race goes to the swiftest.

Like I said, if you'd got my attention, or done a /t on my char at the time... you know, *communicate* we probably would have had this worked out a long time ago.

This thread is going nowhere fast. Congratulations on alienating yourself from the majority of the playerbase, Cain. You are well suited to playing a Drow it seems. This thread became a pissing contest about three pages ago.

Locked.
