Beware when I get better at playing this game (probably in about two months) I may create a pure unadualterated evil unmoralistic thief who won't just rob you blind but knock you on your rear then sell it all to Ealden so you can see where it went to rub it in. His motto will probably be: It was me who just stole from you, knocked you down and while you recover I be doing the same to your family.

Yeah thats probably true but you'd have to find the sneaky one. If I do create the thief just to make sure he becomes a truly evil legend; my first job will be to send an Email to a mate of mine who was a master of thievery and a legend in Das I for about 5 years, he got me to upgrade my PC and into this game. I wouldn't make it easy for you!!! Infact if he has worked out his masterplan for it he is most likely in Das II at the moment upto something sneaky or possibly working on a char this time just to battle me later on. As I expected I will not find him until he wants me too.

Silly little monkey, remember the one major rule...
He that openly challenges hurt from a DM, will often get big ugly bad tempered dragons dropped on his head at the most inappropriate moments.
This message brought to you by the DM/Evil Overlords/Demigods Union.
whispers I should add, this also applies to saying "I am bored" within a DMs hearing.

I was not openly challenging DM Wyvern, I said am not good enough to do that yet. I meant if I get so narked off by people stealing from me and get decent at playing estimated 2 months time, I may decide to create a thief using knowledge and experience from a Das I legend; who is so Unrellentingly evil that he would take a DM namely Wyvern and take on her dragons etc. Just to let you know I never wanted to and still don't want to play a thief.
I personnally don't have anything against DM Wyvern and for that matter any of the DM's, I think they have made this a a wonderful environment for me to spend my time.
I hope this clears it up for you.

actually there are a lot of classes now that get spot as a class skill. add to it that you can take able learner if it is not a class skill and still build it up pretty good, you have at least a small chance to catch a thief.
if you feel you know who the thief is who has been stealing from you, then you can also consistantly put that character on hostile and keep them there. if they make mention of it, tell them that you dont trust em. if they try to keep puting you on unhostile when they are close enough to rob you, i think it is a fair bet they are trying.
but really, build up the spot bonuses and take a couple of feats to help if it gets to bad.
then every time you catch the bugger, knock him down and kill him. if he doesnt learn, knock him down before he gets the chance to steal from you and kill him. just keep killing him. at some point he will get the idea that even being in the same vicinty as you makes him dead.
PP griefing will end at that point.
or in the words of some unkown hater of PP:
grief steal from me and i will so you so much grief killing it will be legendary!
