The old ones all know me, but for the newer members of the community I guess I should introduce myself.
I am Michelle, 35 years old, married to Wyvern and have a 12 year old daughter from a previous marriage.
Born and raised in New Orleans all my life, I moved to Illinois after Hurricane Katrina and I am...adjusting.
Before being married to Wyv, I had a nice career combining my two favorite things, cooking and children. I managed school cafeterias (throughout that period I was in schools from the smallest elementary to very large High Schools).
NWN and Das 1 were my first experience with on line gaming, although I had played some table top D&D back in my day. Once playing on Das I was hooked, and the vets will often tease me about my multiple personality disorder. You will also find me flooding the Tales and Stories section with stories when the muses hit me.

Erm what to say really, I'm Craig, 18 and live in a sleepy little place called Suffolk in the UK. I'm best mates with Matt already on the board *coldtoes/Kilrux* so that's kinda how I got onto NWN online, Have got the game for myself but my new computer is not hooked up on the net yet so that's why you ain't seen much of Elorfin my character.
I left School in february 2006.. feels so long now and nearly went off and joined the Army of my own accord, went along and found out a lot about myself and made me feel quite happy actually, I'm currently trying to join the Policeforce and am in the meanwhile working as a storeman in a goods inwards department of an agricultural business... Fun! =P not. I have a lot of great mates and a lovely girlfriend who I miss so much as they've all gone off to university this year but there's always time for visits so i'm happy at least.
erm...I've rambled, sorry about that

The Gentleman Thief....
Fascinating thread - I'm new here, so thanks for the bump, Eve.
Let's see what I can tell all of you without getting into too much trouble...
My name is Dan, and I'm 26 years old.
There are only two people in the world who reserve the right to call me "Daniel". One is myself. The other is dead.
I don't drink, I don't smoke, and I don't take any drugs, but I'm not "straightedge". Labels limit people unnecessarily.
I can simply find better things to waste my time and money on.
I was born on May 18th, 1980 - the same day Mount St. Helens erupted in one of the most cataclysmic geographical disasters of the last century - and grew up just across the Mississippi River from St. Louis, MO in the sleepy little 4,000-body hamlet of Troy, IL.
There are over 8,000 folks in Troy now. Go Troy. Big pimpin'.
I am the son of a Danish-Norwegian carpenter and an Italian barkeep. It's up to you to figure out which parent was which...but here's a hint: my grandfather on my Mother's side taught me to open a combination safe by ear before I was able to tie my own shoes.
As a child, I never cried. Not once.
Despite the family's prevailing Catholicism, I was not baptized until I was four, and during my First Communion, I spent most of the ceremony poking the kid standing in front of me in the head. Unbeknownst to me, the ceremony was being taped and was broadcast that same afternoon, much to my Mother's dismay, on local access channel 9.
She still talks about it to this day.
Ironically, I haven't attended a church service since I was 13.
Nevertheless, in grade school, I was a straight-A student.
In high school, I barely graduated.
I failed several courses, snuck out of an entire semester of P.E. by learning to forge the gym teacher's name on hall passes (and made a few bucks selling them, to boot), lit the inside of my locker on fire, lit the outside of a bus on fire, and stole our garage band's first instruments from the music room my Junior year.
I play the drums.
After graduation, I briefly entertained the thought of enlisting in the Navy, but a prior broken arm had left me with too many plates an pins in my body for them to accept the risk, despite record high scores on the exams. Failing that, I instead enrolled in Ranken Technical College, and left with an Associate's Degree in Computer Networking Technologies.
Afterward, I moved to Chicago, and promptly did absolutely nothing relating to my field of study, instead taking a job as PR rep for an indie record label, Positron! Records, and working security at the Metro.
I had my nose broken once, two teeth knocked loose, and received countless bruises and lacerations. Not one of our patrons was ever harmed. I'm a pacifist, of course.
A year of that was enough.
Several other odd jobs followed, including auto glass installer, contracted PPC advertiser, network admin at a Northshore singles boutique, and curbside musician.
At one point, I had four tire boots in the trunk of my car, and I had learned how to trip the ignition in any GM automobile made between 1992 and 1998. The Illinois Department of Transportation is unforgiving in the extreme of unpaid parking tickets.
One must therefore, on occasion, take matters into one's own hands.
After 3 years upstate, I found that my father had fallen near-terminally ill. Power of Attorney rolled downhill to me, and I was forced to move back to St. Louis to care for his estate while he was hospitalized. He spent 109 days in ICU, but stubborn as ever, he came out of it eventually...a fact for which I am grateful to any number of gods, fate, and modern medical science, all in roughly equal parts.
I plan to return to Chicago soon, but for the time being, I'm milking my current job for all its worth. The pay is good.
Presently, I live in a quaint Italian Neighborhood on the city's South Side and manage the affiliate programs for several large online retailers, as well as providing technical support for users savvy enough to break their machines, but not savvy enough to un-break them.
As such, I don't play games during the day. There's simply no time.
My disinterest in most romantic relationships is legendary, so instead I dump all of my affection onto my two cats: Raisin and Tevye. One was adopted from an ex-girlfriend when she moved back to Oregon; one I rescued off the rooftop of an abandoned building on New Year's Eve.
One is napping on my lap right now.
I used to play D&D 2nd edition, way back in the day in tabletop games with my friends, although such pastimes have fallen by the wayside in recent years.
Before coming to Dasaria II, I played NWN1 on the World of Amon PW, where I accidentally ended up spearheading the revival of one of that world's oldest in-game player factions, the Noble House of Iceni.
I made a great many friends there, and even served as head of House Iceni for a while, before turning it over to others with more time to dedicate to its proper maintenance.
It makes me proud to pop back in from time to time and still see them flourishing.
...There's little else to say, really.
This is the longest post I have ever written.
Exactly half of it is true.

Hum...my name is Charlene! I'm 18 year old, but you will need to get to know me better before you find out where I live. Hehe. I started video games when I was about 10 or so with SNES and the FF Series, along with Zelda, Chrono Trigger, etc...eventually going to Dreamcast...with Phantasy Star Online. For the good old time I had it, the game captured me for at least a year or so. From there, I was also playing Diablo...the first one...inbetween...D2 was fun for awhile it lasted. I branched off to SC, and WC3 eventually. Then to this after those, about 4 months ago. I've adjusted to RPing and things of that nature...been PW Jumping ever since...
I care. Too much...empathy is my best weapon, and my biggest wound. If I care about someone, it goes very deep, like in a vast ocean of space...it often scares me because I can never control it. I've always been the person to come to...I'm a free thinker, silly in a soft way, open about almost anything...
That's me..

Hmm, don't think I'd seen this thread before..
I'm Velve. Nickname came about from a very lame drow character I made years back (Velve is the drow word for blade, I am so original
).
My real name is Ben. Nice and simple, even if it is ugly.
I'm 16 and live in Adelaide, South Australia, love my RPing and wouldn't be without it... Kinda have a single digit IQ.. I like breathing, eating, and sleeping and keeping myself somewhat athletic (Don't do any sports or anything, however).
I don't get along well with many of my peers, I tend to think differently to most, so usually I don't understand them, or the other way..
I like alternate rock, alternate metal sort of music (Slipknot, Seether, Ill Nino, Godsmack, Nirvana, That sorta thing). I guess if thrown into a category I'd be sort of grunge/goth, but I don't like to label myself really..
And I'm not a morning person.
Guess thats about it..
EDIT:
Far more entertaining than any other city I've lived in! *Deems it best not to mention he has only ever lived in Adeliade*

I suppose I’ll post in this thread since I’ve been here for a while now. I’m James. I’m a 30 year old CPA from South Florida. I found Dasaria when I was checking out NWN2 servers and I’m having a blast. I love the setting and the story, and there are alot of great roleplayers here. I’m a big fan of D&D, and I’ve been playing since I was about 12. I still meet with friends of mine once a week and play in a pen and paper campaign.
I was the creator and host of an NWN1 server called World of Talernon up until October of last year. I turned over the project to the other co-creator after he insisted on taking the PW in a direction I didn’t want it to go. Looking back, I’m happy I did it. As I’m sure the Dasaria staff can attest to, running a PW is a lot of work, and I just don’t have the amount of free time it requires. It's nice to be able to just play for a change and focus on my character.
Anyway, I’m looking forward to meeting anyone I haven’t met already. There’s still a lot I don’t know about Dasaria, and there’s still places I haven’t explored. I’m doing my best to catch up. My character is Lucindra LaVey. Hope to see you all in game.
