Why not launch it into space.
Hear me out, if we launch all our garbage into space, preferably the sun, we will be solving two problems. One we will be getting rid of trash, and two, if aliens disapprove of us they will step in; thus proving life on other planets.

I presented that idea in a science paper I had to write in Junior High. (that would be about 1980 or so).
