A song in the streets of Ravenswatch

Post by Asgaroth »

Rumors were plenty to circulate in the different cities of Dasaria. About the unshared love of a certain woman, ignored by the one she loved... Providence could only imagine how painful it must be and have been for this lady. Sitting in her room in Ravenswatch's Inn, leaning back in the chair nearby the desk, she was watching at the moon from the window. Only a weak candle was illuminating the room at that moment, as her mind wandered away. Time passed, until the moon did shed its light upon her desk. Music sheets were pell-mell on its surface, a quill standing in its inkwell, as it did every night. That is when inspiration came to her...

The night after, Providence was already done writing down her new song. Never did she have made it so quickly before. She grabbed her lute, still wearing her bed attire, she walked down the stairs and took the first door to her left to end up in the streets. The sky was clear again that night, and the moon was shining like a beacon in its pitch black scenery. That then she started to sing, slowly, with a melancholic tone to her voice, her fingers striking gently the cords of her lute...

Moon, that up there shines over the roofs of Ravenswatch,
See how a woman can suffer from love.
Beautiful star that dies when the day returns,
Hear the chants of the earth ascend to you.
Hear the cry of a wounded woman,
For whom a thousands stars won't be worth the eyes,
Of the one she loves with deadly passion.

Moon, that up there becomes clouded before dawn arrives,
Hear the heart's roaring of the human beast.
This is the lament of a woman who cries out her mad despair,
Her voice, up hills and down dales, flies away to reach up to you.
Moon, watch over this strange world,
That tangles its voice with the choir of the angels.

Moon, that up there shines to illuminate my quill,
See how a woman can suffer from love...

She stood there for a moment, her eyes closed, holding her tears, and her mind wandering away again...

While listening to the song played by Providence, Nicolai was dreaming back when the days the Canite human army turned to become undead first started to come. They gather the humans that was falsely led for triumph and turned them all to vampire army starting from the leader. Such grim day.

That was the day of suffering, the day of despair and lost to many men and women. It was moment of death, and love started to create pain to the other lover of people. Wives wail in tears when they see their husband went for the evil cult. Children cries to the extend that they fell asleep with dry tears when they lost their only hope of raising them. Men weep silently in their beds when their lover left them to go for the evil. families lost their bread and butter and left to rot without care. All are losing their meaningful love, even some turned people lost their love to the gods. They forsake their old worshiped god to gain more power from the new one. Promising them eternal power over humanity.

Then Nicol was brought back to the days when he was with his family. Such care, such intense care. Nothing those evil can do to make Nicol forsake his family. Now the family is growing, and friends are more to make sure that the grim day does not happen again. Oh those are the memories flashing through his eyes when he listen to the song.

I am forever grateful that i have families and friends with me. As long as i live, i will pray to Khaisum to keep me with her(Khaisum), and with her i shall reside. They say as a man, we should keep our ego and show nothing of care to people around us. But for me, i am seeing my beloved sister singing and playing her well kept lute in front of me and i wont put my ego in front and i will protect her any way i can possible.

And to the song the person mentioned, may Khaisum forever bless her and gain her a new worthy lover

It was a glimpse... then more... growing.... Big distances, but feeling passed from one to one...... tickling, within the blood, the call, the voice and the melody..... transmitted through shared blood....feelings and emotions touched the mind of Az-Hali, and he stopped the boat..... deep inside his veins were trembling.... distant call, which Magnificient Blood passed for long ranges..... He closed the eyes.....
"Hear the heart...." last glimse came upon his mind, and rest with pure emotion, filling his reality as fog filled shore edge before the dawn.....
Deep inside the voice remained, and eventually his attention returned to his surroundings and to the boat, which started to move as the song within the veins faded
