I noticed most people either don't like using plugins for some reason, or just aren't aware of them. In the interest of saving people MASSIVE amounts of time here's a list of the must have plugins!

-This one really answers some prayers with water in general. I just found it, but massive potential


There's an item creator as well for those not wanting to stare at a properties screen. I haven't started on custom items so I have no experience with it, but I would imagine anythings better than the current situation.

Yep, that's a pretty good plug-in to get a rough draft of the area, but definitely don't rely on it to provide a quality area.

It's not too bad to be honest, but it's not great either - in my opinion. I found myself going back to the way Obsidian did it, it also has some issues with a number of cards; some see the creature black, which isn't helping, I also think I got a corrupt area as a result of using it, but I'm not 100% sure this plug in was the cause so I won't comment.

This is useful, but you have to be very careful about how you use it; the toolset only recognises water saved as a flat plane. So if you try to save an area that used this plug-in with the toolset, you'd get a very nasty crash. Also, you really can't use both OE water and this one at the same time - well, you can technically, but it requires a rather hit and miss workaround that's not great. It also uses a texture slot, so if you use all 6 you might be boned a bit.

The main problem is that everytime you save, it will cause that conflict with the water, so you'd need to save from within the plug-in. This is really not a feasible way to approach a PW module since the module undergoes changes literally every day. If someone forgets to save from the plug-in you risk a corupt server.

I have hopes that OE will eventually integrate some of these plug-ins (reading from some comments they made) into the game. And yes, I know the creators use it on a PW, but they're the ones who made it so they know what they're doing. I personally feel this is more useful for SP mods at the moment.

I'd wait a bit longer before I'd use that one, it's really picky about how you create items and often crashes the toolset.
