Your alignment choice!

Now that we've all had time to think, what alignment are you going to be leaning towards for Das2? I'm just curious as to the break down... we've all had time to think about what we're creating (hopefully).

Given time, all of the above.

To start? Anywhere between Chaotic Neutral and Lawful Good, I haven't decided what my first character will be.

As a character, I'm not sure.

As a DM...neutral of course. With evil tendicies :P

I won't vote yet, but I think Evelond might . . . probably will be NG. (No, not Nergal's Golem; Neutral Good, for those of you who might take that opportunity.

I dunno. My character will have to determine that for himself.

I marked LE.

I am not sure about my first character, but it will be in there some where.

Probably Chaotic Neutral, just because its a good jumping off point. However i will most definately not remain so.

Chaotic Neutral characters are by far the most infuriating characters to ever interact with. The make me want to stab myself in the temples whenever something needs to get done.

I thought the hard-coded settings for the game had everyone start at True Neutral?

How would you start as a paladin or monk if that were the case?

That would be odd, if alignment was set that way...

then basically the first person (like the guard in nwn when you go to leave the start room) you speak too would most likely set your alignment by how you answer them.

As far as I remembered, Obsidian is going to have your actions determine your alignment to get rid of all the lawful good pale drow paladins roaming around. Or the chaotic evil black-skinned elf paladins. Can't remember which.

But what they had said was that classes with alignment restrictions would have exceptions, so a Paladin would always start out at LG and a Monk would always start out at LN. By the way, I was being serious in the above paragraph. ;)

haha, I didn't doubt whether you were serious or not; just the strangeness of actually having to work for your allignment for once

Not for multiplayer Eve, it's like that in the single player campaign but they're not enforcing that on other modules. But Jeh can do whatever he wants with it I think too, which could be interesting. Forcing drow and such to be evil and have a level cap. ^^

Yea that's exactly what I'm doing, it's a great place to start a level character with little experience of the world. I'll probably be starting all my new characters at CN or LN from now on, then play it by ear to see where they go from there.

don't know if this would be the place to chime this in but i always thought it would be more meaningful if paladins started as standard fighters then had to quest to become paladins. hhmmm new post i am thinking :)
