Dasaria II - A NWN2 Roleplay and Story-driven Persistent World

Well now that the server is considered a 'beta'. What does this mean for those of us playing with out current characters?
Mostly wanting to know if we'll be able to keep them going, once this 'bea' status has been lifted.

I don't think they would wipe you on purpose. I'm sure someone official will answer more positively soon.

I'd suspect that part of it depends on what the outcome of the sub-races discussion turns out to be.

If sub-races are modified or disallowed, then a wipe will probably be necessary to clear out the offending characters from the server vault.

if we are voting then by all means wipe my charaacters for now, esp. if it means fixing the spellcating prodigy feat

Maybe I'm not up on current bug events. What's up with Spellcasting Prodigy?

Apparently it's a broken feat, and not just on Dasaria. Hopefully they will fix it soon, since everyone seems to want to use it.

If you're simply having problems with feats or what-not ask the DM's to wipe your own chars and then re-make them. Then re-level them from the DM's, along with equipment and gold you had prior to the deletion (they can verify all that out by looking in your inventory)

Only sounds harder then it is.

We do have a delevel but no relevel policy. In this turbulent time however, certain allowances will be made if characters are affected directly by bugs etc. These will be handled on a case by case basis. Usually if a player makes a build mistake, we will drop that character on request as many levels as needed to rectify it, but will not refund the xp taken.

i for one vote on playing other characters til the spell prodigy thing is worked out. does anyone have less than three alts?

To clarify, if I were to start wizard that I would want to take spell casting prodigy once it is fixed, would a relevel be possible?

So will our characters be wiped once Dasaria goes live? i need a definite yes or no answer please.

The reason we called it beta was due to the frequest crashes we were having at the beginnning that were in large part due to a hardware problem. We didnt want people to be disappointed.



We have no plans at this time to wipe the vault.

That is as definate as it gets, or will ever get.
