There is currently a house for sale in the docks, read the meanwhile in dasaria page:
viewtopic.php?f=18&t=5698
I don't know what the current bid is, but it starts at 250 000 gold. I'm sure you can pay a bit extra for some extra utilities, but thats up to the DMs.

Could houses ( or in Cythis's case ruins) be put up in Korgov Valley? Who on the server actually owns a house?

I think Titus Mcguinty, Shady, and a few others own a house.

Some character houses have been auctioned off ad-hoc in the past.
It's really not a focus for us though. Another auction may come up at some point but there's no formal plans around character housing.
Personally I don't think it adds a lot to the server; I'd rather add an interior that immortalizes a storyline that led up to it some how, and have that contribution accessible for other players to experience in the future.

I agree with Wired. Personally i've never seen anyone ever actually use the house. It only seems to be a status symbol more then anything. I can see a house being useful for organization (I know one faction used a house as their base of operations for a while), and planning as thats something you wouldn't do out in the Misty, especially the shady groups. Besides, I think it can take away a bit of an rp element, because if one has to purchase a house, would it really be right for a character born in Cear to already have a house (Even if not physically possible to get to ingame)? Besides, if you join a faction you often end up with a dwelling of some sort.

Shady groups don't need houses of their own. They use ones that others have already paid for.

Well you can always say that you live there. There are always those rumors about certain corrupt souls that are somehow are able to walk the Korgov Vale unharried by its denizens...

I take crafting seriously and it is why I came to Dasaria. In Everquest 2 I had a home with every single crafting device at my disposal for RP purposes, and I used the heck out of it as well. I would definitely use it in the future when I have sufficient funds with RP to go with it. However, it isn't a need that I would like addressed for a while. I love the idea though, and have used it for nearly four years in Everquest.
Player housing when you are a SERIOUS crafter, and that is what you made him for is a very nice addition for feel.

I took RP with regard to crafting to another level as that's pretty much all I did in EQ2. I have a lot of good ideas for crafting that I would like to continue here in Dasaria with regards to Dasarian Lore.
Best regards,

Cythis once locked out one of his daughters mothers outside in Korgav Valley. That has it's advantages instead of getting a divorce.

See the Tel'gothrim Mother in Laws are smart. They never move in with their daughters.

I am just curious as too crafting. And maybe I am really looking very deep into it and yet posing a very technically tuff idea. But would there be a way to create even a new material, say for example ore that was flagged as dwarven mined ore? Or weapons crafted by dwarves any different or better(pending on the person's opinion of the race). That way there are even other reasons to play specific races if someone wants to mine specific items. Maybe I am not being as clear in my explanation, but can anyone kinda see what I am getting at? I think also if there was for example, a Dwarven House. And inside they have crafting tables, maybe if items were crafted specifically on those tables they would incorporate the added benefits of such a race.
