Dice rolls are mainly used for rolling a skill to see if you accomplish a task. This can range from getting a tidbit of information from a DM with a Lore roll to rolling a strength check for holding a door closed against an onslaught of wolves. More often then not these skill rolls are used in DM events, where they have the power to have something happen due to it. However, many players make converstation rolls (Diplomacy, Taunt, Intimidate, and Bluff) with other players, who then decide if it was successful. Other players use skill rolls such as Lore to determine if a piece of knowledge the player has transfers to the character, or they may roll a Listen roll to see if they overhear a whisper.

Another use for dice rolls, not something commonly used in Dasaria, is a dice roll to see who gets the loot. Although, that is uncommon, it is a use if you want it.

The DMFI tool also allows you to do a series of emotes, as well as toggle the bump toggle (Can't be bumped), set timers, make campfires/tents (And remove them), and set macros for text (Good for prayers, or just something you commonly say, also useful for battle cries).

Good info there, thanks. I still don't understand all it's uses. If your character has listen skill then what does rolling listen do? Or is it all DM stuff?

You have the listen skill, and as you level you put points into it. So if you are level 5 lets say, then you could have 8 Listen. Then factor in say +2 from Wisdom modifier for a total of 10. The skill roll takes that all as a modifier, and then rolls a 1d20 roll, and adds the modifier. So that roll would be from 11-31 Listen. It allows everyone to see a particular good trait on your character sheet, and gives you more reason to take the less useful skills. A good one is diplomacy, there are not that many skill rolls for diplomacy in even the OC, no matter in Dasaria. It gives you a good use for it if you can persuade people in game.
