Dasaria II - A NWN2 Roleplay and Story-driven Persistent World

Everyone's favorite Most people's Your friendly DM Loki here with an open recruitment call for a weekly group forming soon. It will be run in the style of pen and paper (PnP) AD&D sessions. Roleplay (RP) is a required condition for admission to the group. You don't need a solid history of RP with five references to apply, but must show a willingness to learn. Even the best RPers had to start somewhere.

Some background so far is as follows.

• Playtime is currently set for Thursday nights, 9-11PM EST. Some flexibility is available if needed.
• Players must agree to show up every week. While things do come up, patterns of absences will not be tolerated.
• Players will start at level one, with no previous interaction between them.
• Playstyle will be in the form of traditional PnP games. Initiative rolls, skill checks, situational modifiers, and all the other trappings will be in full effect. Combat will still be handled by the game engine.
• All sessions will be DM-led, with XP awarded at completion.
• Adventures will be mixes of old, modified, and new content.
• Characters will adventure and level together. Questing individually will not be allowed, but roleplay between sessions is encouraged.
• No ECL races will be allowed. Multiclassing may be available if your character background or events during the sessions fit the selection.

A background will be required for all PCs. It can be as simple as "I don't remember where I'm from or how old I am". In that case, however, you should RP the character as such. The only restriction is no claim to noble birth. Sessions will continue for at least six months, possibly more. The end goal is a party of level twenty characters who have forged interpersonal bonds, become famous (or infamous) in the land of Dasaria, and have left a lasting impact on the campaign world.

Sounds like it would be fun. I think I'll give it a try, though I ususlly can't log on till around 10pm EST. Let me know if that is unacceptable.

If you come in at 10pm every week you'd miss half of all the content. That wouldn't really be fair to the others. Remember, though, that the time is still flexible. We could always move it back if needed.

Lvl 20 in 6 months of only playing on a Thursday can I have someone login to collect the xp rewards coz thats way too late for me lol

Level 20 is the eventual goal, but we'll get as far as we can. Be prepared to take a character out to 20, though.

I'll be opening an invitation on the Bioware boards tomorrow so we can possibly round out the group. Still plenty of room if anyone else would like to sign up.

There are three players confirmed so far. We're still looking for at least two more.
