The eUmenides eXperience

Post by DM Eumenides »

Hail, adventurers! Your kindly Greek deity of vengeance here, letting you all know that another weekly group is forming!

Anyone is welcome to join in, but I'm afraid that this may not be a Euro-friendly group (unless you're a European Night Owl). Weeknights, especially Wednesday nights, will work best for me, but those details will be discussed later.

As for the rest of the details... Well, that is up to the players of the group. However, there are a few things that I would like to see. I would like for the group to think of a common goal, or some other purpose for being together. Perhaps they're part of a religious sect, or a group elves from Iryrod, seeking out a new purpose, or even a collective of strangers who soon find out that they have common goals? Again, these details will be discussed later.

If you're interested in this, please sign/write/whatever your name below. Or feel free to send me a PM.

I'm interested, but my weekday availability fluctuates. I could probably do a 21:00 (EST/GMT-5) start time.

Suggestion/brainstorm for group below:

I would love to join, but as you say I am not the type of Night Owl. Maybe someday someone Dm could make a group from the Euro team. I know that there are a lot of adventurers, that would love to to play but are from Europe.
However hope you guys will make a good time and you will not get killed to often

i am not joining but i really think that the Euro time is crucial these days. from my log in experience,

from 6pm EST to 3am EST will be crowded with 15-25 people from US and EST time,

and other than that time, most will be at least 4-10 people logging in that needs DM attention..with more attention, people will be more interested and the crowd will increase :)

Of course. This is a weekly group, so I won't expect you to be up late every night. :) I hope that this group will gain enough momentum that the players involved will be willing to log on outside of the weekly meetings. So if you miss a meeting, it won't be vital since hopefully your fellow groupmates will be around anytime during the week.

I might just do that!

Also, I'm heavily considering making this group's meeting times much more flexible than I had originally planned. What if the players of the group decided what day and time they would like to meet, changing every week? The only issues I can see with this is that I might not always be around and that people might feel less committed to making a meeting when the schedule is wobbly.

What say you?

The component I'm most interested in is staying together as a group PnP style. If a flexible schedule is required to accomplish this, I will try to be flexible too, but I have a lot of other commitments in and out of game. I'm still interested but scheduling will be a huge factor.

Hey folks. Still looking for a few more players to take part in this group!

To alleviate some potential concerns, I do plan on turning the weekly meetings into a running story in itself based on the group's RP and theme, I won't just be sitting back and throwing the random goblin and RP XP. The difference I intend to make is just how exactly this story will play out. The players involved in the group have creative control of what type of group they want to be. During our first session, I'll lay out a plot with a goal and purpose. However, based on what type of group you guys will be, and how you choose your actions and dialog, the plot-line will shift and mold into something that fits more to the style and theme of the group.

Sounds like a good time! I can be flexible on weekdays EST, and I have a friend who is also interested...whatever the group decides I'll be there.
