So much great literature in our forums.

Post by Redleafe »

I say this from time to time, and if you've been with Dasaria for any length of time then you obviously know the obvious. :P

I started playing on Dasaria when I was 17, and boy have I seen this place come so far from the pen and paper trail that Jeh and Co. left for us to help build and enjoy. When I visit the forums I make a point to find at the very least 1 random story/bio/Das Arts thread to read and take in, for new or for past interest.

So many favorite fantasy writers of mine come from right here, our very own Dasaria. Thanks to EVERYONE who takes their time and effort no matter how large or small to make this place what it is. I gather my inspiration from all of you.

Long Live Dasaria and the pure kick-*** that it stands for. Happy Early Thanksgiving! (Statesiders and all that celebrate it.)

(Rhode is probably my personal favorite character, Mon you are a master and depicting his stories. I thought I should mention this, as I usually do.)

:)

It's amazing to think how long ago Dasaria 1 was (considering I joined later in the time of Das 1). I still have so many fond memories of my time in both Das 1 and 2.

Time spent to simply wander this great server or reading the awesome stories created on this board or follow the interaction and plots co-created by several players is a true blessing.

I cant do else then fall in with gratitude toward all, past, present and future, players who keep this great server spinning!

Thanks Redleafe.

I am still around but have found RL eating more and more into my free time. I really really need to finish that last story I started with Rhode. My wife has suggested I spend more time writing and try to get published but when I read my own stories I don't think they are all that great....then I need to remind myself that the stories I post here are all first drafts and I only edit them for spelling and grammar on occasion if time allows.

(My wife just passed by and saw me typing this reply. She asked if I was back to writing stories. I guess that was a hint. :) )

Thanks again Redleafe.

Not a problem at all mate, I tell it how it is.

I encourage you to keep strong when time permits to run with writing, you have a great talent within it. Nice to have a wife that is supportive to, tell her next time you don't want to go to an inlaws that you are deep into a story and you can't afford to brake stride  .

You write it, I'm reading it bro. Hope to see something new when you get a chance, I'm looking forward to it.

Until then,

You could probably take everything you've written thus far, organize it in some fashion, timeline-wise or whatever, then just fill in the gaps. Viola, book. Self-publish via Amazon.

An organized collection of short stories. Thanks Wired, that is a great idea. :D

I've only met Rhode twice ingame, and neither situation was pleasant! Urinating, worm-eaten, sharpfanged bastard...
But i must say that i like your roleplay, Mon-Da-Oth - and i will definitely start reading those stories! In truth, Rhode has been somewhat a mystery to me, so maybe i can uncover some of that mystery by reading?
Anyways, kudos :)

Do one better. Book-end it with 'Birth of Rhode-as-we-know-him' and 'Death-or-riding-out-of-the-sunset-of-Rhode' and you've a novel. The rest is editing.
