Problem with deactivating traps , posible bug ??

Firs off hello everyone from a long time , ive been busy with real life and have had not much time to play here but still from time to time i come to play some tunes with my bard in game :) , my problem would be that many of the traps that i encounter are listed as imposible even if i could really do them , for example i have a total of 16 with my song of bard and my item wich would make a total of 16 +20 =36 with the best roll , when i find a trap that is examine it takes - 7 or 9 not sure of its total dificulty so when one its 15 +7 = 22 total dificulty it means i could easylly take care of it , but its listed as imposible and when i try it says i will never be able to do it , my problem is that i feel im wasting points here so is this a bug or something i have not understand about the skill ? thanks in advance for the help :)

Your problem can be found here;

Specifically in the bit that says this;
Special: Only rogues can disable traps with DCs of 20 and above. 5 or more ranks in set trap give a 2 synergy bonus on checks for this skill.
So unless you have at least one Rogue level you cannot disable traps with a DC of 20 or more, regardless of your skillpoints.

Ah i see , well that explains a lot Decado :P i should get atleast a rogue lv then i guess , shame because i whanted to keep my bard pure but maibe 2 levels dont hurt i need to have a look at the bard progresion table , thanks for the quick reply :)

Two levels of rogue can be very useful. It opens up all sort of skill access and grants you evasion.

ive look into the bard lv progresion and it seems the last skill thing i get is at lv 18 , so i could have 2 rogue lvs and the rest bard and still be able to do some traps , i like my char to be able to do a bit of everything , how the say " aprentice of everything and master of nothing" :P
