I deleted "Amarenth Dormagic" via the Temple of Peralia. Got booted. Went back into NWN2. Direct Connect. Got back in the game. I recreated her the way I wanted her, ran some quests. Had to log out.
Logged back in and she's back the way she was before.
I don't know if this is a bug, or if I did something wrong, so I thought I'd post here, just to be safe. I did the "pray 3 times" thing in order to delete her, renamed her the exact same character. (I also have an Amarenth, a Mera, and a Mera Dormagic in my list as well)
Can someone tell me what I did wrong, or how to fix this?
Thanks,
K

Re: Character Re-Making
It's usually prudent to wait until after the server resets to remake your character.
Re: Character Re-Making
What's wrong is, the character deletion is broken on the new server.

I'll figure something out, I guess. I just don't like any of the versions of her that I've done so far, which is why I wanted to begin new.

Apologies for playing a necromancer, but I was wondering if there is any news on the ability to delete characters within the game, or does it require DM intervention?Wired wrote:What's wrong is, the character deletion is broken on the new server.

Kind of messed up some character appearance options during a remake of an old favorite, but would like to keep her together with all current characters under the same login.
Also, got a bunch of really old low-levels that would benefit for a visit to Peralia's temple

Re: Character Re-Making
After the upgrade, the NWNX plug-in that handles character deletion started crashing the server, so it was disabled. It's on my list somewhere to try recompiling it on our architecture.
