Master Hyel,
I write to you this day to arrange some of your valuable time for a meeting with myself and other members of the Free Vanguard at a place of your choosing and at your urgent convenience.
We wish to discuss the matters of blood and the ether, and we have specific questions that I cannot name herein. I trust you can appreciate the clandestine nature of this note. Suffice it to say that we need information on and concerning the Ji-Lyn and some of their ritual magic.
I look forward to recieving your response.
Best Regards,
Captain Sammil Card, Free Vanguard
c/o Oberon Thunderheart, Ravenscrest Inn, Ravenswatch.

Library of Cear
A note, affixed with a black wax seal of a bird of prey, is delivered to the Library, adressed to Ordo Magica Master Sir Hyel Loremaster.
Re: Library of Cear
Bogudar pauses after entering, allowing his eyes to adjust to the gloom within.
Noticing the figure of a man moving purposefully within, he steps forward, extending a roll of quality parchment. There is no marking on the seal, merely the impression of an oval used to press the wax holding both ends of the scroll together.
"I wish to make an inquiry with the Loremaster, if possible, as per my missive."
His hand also contains a pouch of coins. Sufficient, he hopes, for his letter not to end discarded as soon as he departs.
Assuming the elf will see him at all.

Re: Library of Cear
He left the Library with a great sense of relief.
The meeting went as well as he could have expected. Whatever the future held, he was moving forward, and it was increasingly important judging by his recent bouts of weariness.
His satchel held the magical tome the Loremaster provided as a secure research journal. As well as a communication method, apparently. From what was claimed, it was supposed to be neigh-impenetrable to others... which made him less than assured.
Ultimately, there were no secrets, for even retaining them solely in one's mind was not a guarantee against somebody of appropriate skill. Proliferation, though, was a certain way of increasing the possibility of critical breach of the secrecy.
On the other hand, he felt obliged to at least try to honor the... "suggestion". Even though he was wondering what exactly he was to write in the journal. He was no wizard with their established and rigorous methodology. Explaining his methods would probably take at least as long as actually performing the procedures, and time was never, ever on his side. Assuming he could explain them at all.
