If you want critiques, you joined the wrong site bubba. This is a gamingforum, not an artcommunity. If you want an artcommunity, I can recommend Deviantart at http://www.deviantart.com.

I like the photograph a lot, tho.

They are all pretty amazing. Pay no attention to Kell. I understand she doesn't care for competition. She did some neat stuff on the Das 1 site.

I am no critic though. I appreciate beauty too much to be critical. Love the Kat.

A bit unfair.

I think Kell is referring to the fact that the artwork meant to be here is fantasy or Dasarian in origin.

I was refering to the fact he's not doing anything on these forums but posting unrelated drawings that have nothing to do with these forums or the game. They are fantasy, granted.

And that if he wants critiques, just like that, out of thin air, poof, from people who don't even know him, he should join an artcommunity instead.

I know you like you know me.

I would gladly comment on your art, Mortannis, right after someone merges all those spammish posts. :)

Hey Mortanis, what film did you use on the phtografy ?
If its digital then PSH !
If its manual then I applaud your work.
But I would actually maybe put the closing time a little longer just to get extra blackening for a more dramatic contrast with the white.
Dont worry about the overlighting areas itl only look even better.

And if you did do it with a digital camera, try to make a HDR photo.
That's a merged version of a normal, overlighted and an underlighted film overeachother wich gives it a wierd 3d grotesk yet fantasy look.

I dont recall the film type. though its self rolled though mass ordered film. someone just gave me a bunch in class so i rolled it. the orignal was taken then i use a light to shine the negative on the photograph paper. counted to 30 on a dim light(which shouldnt have worked in my book) and devolped it. its a wonder picture that souldnt have came out at all.
I think it may have worked as i may have had the paper upsidedown.

Smudge tool is a good way to get introduced to digital oil painting.
I would use it in Photoshop with a mouse (back in 1999).
You should try out Painter 9 sometime and is you can get one off Ebay or something, get Digital Pen & Tablet (typically called Wacom). 8)
