How many people Hate Gurthag?
Running a Poll to determine if I'm going to far with Gurthag, or if I'm RPing him well for what he does. Those who have encountered him probably know what I'm going for with him. The goal is more or less to see how far he can get before the guard come down on him, but I want it to happen in charcter.
EDIT: Good point, Bronco. But I garuntee you people who have met him will know what I'm talking about. The reason for the poll is so that I can gauge weither or not I'm considered a griefing tool, or a guy who roleplays an evil Half-Orc. If it's the former, I'm going to let up or stop using him altogether.

You forgot the options
Who the hell is Gurthag?
and
You think you are important enough to run a poll about yourself?
add those and maybe ill consider answering

I'm always right. I'm also a jerk. It's not my fault you can't get over the latter to see the former.

I haven't really played for a while, but this seems a bit unnecessary. As long as you're abiding by the rules and roleplaying it decently, who cares about what people think OOCly? Let the populace hate your character in character! It's fun that way! Being loved by them would be boring.
Also, as long as you're focusing on people closer to your level, I would be fine with it... It would pain me to see some level 6 half-orc trying to get the 50 gold that some level 2 guy just gained and then beating him up in the wilderness over it. I know it's metagaming to focus on more closely-leveled characters, but still, it gets to a point when it's just rude to the players.
Heck, you ought to try getting money from characters that are much higher in levels than you! You might even come across some very good roleplayers that will act frightened by a half-orc, regardless of level. Or, you might just end up provoking a fight with a half-orc-hater, but, eh, it builds character.

While it may not sit well with others that he wants to do this, I think it's still well within his rights to make such an inquiry. The only kind of comment I really have anything against is something like this that has no excuse to be on these forums under any context:
I hope you get banned you stupid jerk.
Otherwise, I voted "I don't hate Gurthag, as long as he isn't trying to grief players, etc."
Good luck with your character.

I hate Gurthag. Or, more accurately, my characters abhor his actions. Sure, you RP it, but people tend not like their muggers.
So, feel free to keep mugging people - but don't be surprised if Gurthag starts getting "corrected" by those more powerful than he. I've even heard talk of citizens banding together in patrols to stem the recent Orcish crime wave.

as long as once he is killed he leaves the area for the hour, i see no problem with it. when im out there i see something like 5 1-4ish characters that would most likely be able to down him if they formed a lil militia...they never do, though.
i have a question on the above scenario, though. if 4 people decide to take down gurthag and end his mugging for at least an hour, but 2 of the 4 people die (lets say a couple of lvl 2s), do the those two level 2s have to keep out of the area as well?
edit: i said i hate you, but feel you rp it well and never grief people after the first mugging. i reluctantly paid you the 25g and you walked off. im actually trying to get a friend to try out dasaria and used gurthag as an example of the freedom the server allows players/characters.
i feel the character adds something to dasaria...or at least my experience in dasaria and encourage him to continue (OOC, of course
