Disarm screwed up
i don't know if it is the right forum to post it, but right now disarm is pretty much...useless
i took this feat, went down in the catacombs...and skeletons were immune to it
it worked fine on goblins, then i went adventuring in the bugbears cave and EVERY monster in there was immune to disarm...
i don't know if it's intentional or not, but this screwes up this feat, a lot
edit:
monsters on which disarm works: Goblins (all varieties)
monsters on which disarm doesn't work: Undeads, Bugbears, Khalam Bandits, Elite Wererats&Madmans, Guards in the Magus quest

Try it against a PC. (Grumble, overpowered feat...) You can only disarm a creature/player that has a weapon. And just because you see them holding a weapon, doesn't mean they "really" have one, either (according to the game). I think that's probably the problem here, because the bugbears should be disarmable.
Drow are best unseen, unheard, and unleashed. ((Cain - Drow Rogue))
Want to pet my spider? It bites. Hard. ((Janine - Human Druid))

The toolset defaults disarmable to false, it takes an active setting to accomodate for it. The feat doesn't really belong in a non-harsh death penalty environment. If you are disarmed there's no guarantee you will get your weapon back, even upon killing the person who disarmed you. It also can cause inflation if someone leaves disarmable true on a monster type with a high priced weapon.
i think disarm simply puts the weapon in your backpack, a pc could re-equip it the next combat round, no?
it's just silly that almost every monster is immune to disarm :>
it doesn't come for free like in PnP as a combat action, it's a f/k feat QQ

than that is a bug from obsidian, the feat clearly says (even with improved disarm) that the weapon goes in your first free slot in your backpack, and goes to the ground if it's full
btw the point of the post wasn't about pcs, but about mobs
and mobs DON'T drop their weapon to the ground, neither you find them in their loot, so i don't see why they should be set no-disarmable

well it doesn't drop weapons on the ground from mobs, and it's (most) mobs that are un-disarmable and should be
i can agree to setting boss mobs to no-disarming tho, that would make boss encounters far too easy

Common sense people, common sense.
The mobs are set to false so that they don't mess up the economy; mobs respawn, so there's the potential for endless farming.
Also, often they have weapons that are above what players can normally get. This is usually done to toughen them up a bit as an NPCs will never be as effective as a player is, so they need to be reinforced through other means. The best option is usually to give them better gear (that can't be pickpocketed or that doesn't drop), as opposed to giving them more levels. It's a matter for the builder, really, but don't expect to see items that can be taken from mobs unless they're meant to be as loot following the defeat of said monster.
This is not a single player campaign, and regardless of what we as players might think, we are not the centre of the universe.

you disarm them, their weapon simply disappear (when mob is disarmable) and it WON'T drop the weapon to the ground like it does with PCs
i know because i use disarm A LOT in the OC and i disarmed EVERY goblin in the cave involving farmer cobb quest and NONE of them dropped their weapon to the ground, never
how can this mess up economy?
