Yeah, Kingpin is definitely far more intriguing, but Kingpin's gotta have his thuggish brutes to do his dirty work and take the fall should something go wrong (e.g. Chaotic Stupid).ChikenKannon wrote:Webs of villiany are awesome! Especially ones that can be adapted to meet the same ends as before. That's the kind of villiany that is "accepted" (I use the term loosely because people will kill you if they figure it out).
When I think of Villiany I think of King Pin. Everything set so that noone can get at him legally or illegally. He has so many bribes and blackmail schemes in effect that law won't touch him, anyone who attacks him has their family disappear with noone wanting to look for them.

In the beginning, things were a little less cut and dried. We did primarily enforce town laws, but that didn't mean we weren't empowered to put a halt to griefers who showed up from time to time. We definitely weren't a final authority and had only a small say in determining EOS - that was always the prerogative of the DMs.Wyvern wrote:Correction - enforce the IC town laws. Either way, we had a great set of bad guys and not-so-bad guys (I still love the RedBoot/LDS antics) to work with. The most annoying part was always dealing with the "I am teh ebil. Ph34r me!" and "your laws don't apply to me" types. The well played villain was a joy to RP encounters with.
