End over End
Everyday was the same for the illustrous and most famous inventor in the world, Cid--the Majestic. None had ever seen such a handsome gnome that could single-handedly piece together the Time Reverberator XG750 whilst singing an epic poem and disproving the existence of all the Gods with a mind-boggling equation. Yes, the ladies swooned when he passed by; he was knee-deep in gnomish children. All the parents wanted their kid taught by Cid, The Majestic! They practically threw the children at him! The most honest guy to could ever meet! The greatest, best-
"CID!" A piercing shout broke the day-dream, Cid's screwdriver slipped and flew into the air. "Hey! Sawdust head! That contraption is supposed to cook meat, not destroy it!" Scratching his soot-covered face, Cid adjusted his safety goggles so that they were perched upon his head. Two rings around his eyes made him look like an inverted racoon.
The safety-inspector of the Cooking Division had his arms folded and that look upon his face--the one that said 'Your not worth my time.' His head was cocked back so far he could have stargazed. "Gods! How do you manage in life? And where'd that soot come from? The blacksmith is a mile away!" Cid stood bleary-eyed with his mouth hanging slightly open and nodded occasionally, already tuned out to the safety-inspectors monologue. The screwdriver came back from it's trip to heaven and landed on his head with an audible Crack!
Pausing long enough to point and laugh, the safety-inspector took a deep breath and continued his lengthy diatribe. A multitide of questions ran through Cid's mind while he rubbed his head...
I wonder what I could eat for lunch. Bet the clouds outside look pretty nice right about now. If I was a cloud, I'd just float around...and make war machines. But I would rather float, if I was a cloud. Maybe I could create a cloud.
"...So, put it back the way it was! We've a hundred stomachs to feed and the last thing we need is an oven that shoots roasted turkeys at everything that passes by! Don't think I forgot about that stove of yours, Cid. The pillars of fire that thing spat out probably toasted Marduk's toes!"
Cid shifted his gaze from the ceiling down to the beak-nose safety inspector and said, "Hokay." The inspector nodded in satisfaction and stomped off in another direction, nose held high, determined to ruin someone else's day. Cid watched him trot off then looked at his handy wrist water-clock and grinned. "Alright, lunch time!" He raced off leaving the oven in pieces.

"Do you think I could get away with another beauty spot?"
"Any more beauty spots and people will think you've got the plague."
