If you are the character who will never bend, never yield, then enforce the law to the fullest.

My only problem with the writs - is that your first quest gives a fully detailed process as to how writs are handed out.

We either need to edit the lore, to allow Watchmen to hand out minor writs - or we should disallow writs to be handed out.

Apparently as it is now, there is a large bureaucracy behind writing writs.
I presume the guards will have their own forum thread?

All they need to do as a guard in character, then, is to write down the name of the person, reason for the fine, and amount. Put it on the board and wait till the DM client is up and running, and the DMs feel like taking a much deserved break... and need some entertainment.

Imagine a group of heavily armored guards surrounding an official from the Ministry approaching an unsuspecting player about a two-month old fine that just went through the writ issuing process, meanwhile accumulating penalties for late payment of said amount

I like Lochwar

so far i've only heard the pleased ones it seems, but i "know" there's people who dont think equal, is it becouse they wish to remain hidden, if so i'll add a pool for it, if not i'd love to hear a but from folks who have some well placed complains and critisism, as we're not only getting far with only half of the cake.

There should be a sign at the front gate, with nice big letters:

"KEEP ALL WEAPONS HARNESSED WITHIN CEAR. NO EXCEPTIONS."

I'm surprised there isn't one already. :)

Maybe they learned their lesson and are properly intimidated by the guardsman's presence, plotting the demise of the system instead in a dark, mouldy basement.

How common is basic literacy in the city? That could be pretty funny:

"The sign says no openly carried weapons."

"But I can't read."

"Ignorance of the law is no excuse." *splortch*

You should be a guardsman.

Most acute grasp of the police work reality.

Or a trigger that prompts the gate guards to say "sheath your weapons. It is city law" as someone enters the city from outside. At least then only the deaf could claim ignorance

There is absolutely no doubt in my mind that someone who can't read or understand the city language is going to meet a quick abrupt end in a tyranical society.

what annoyed me most is that, a low level character had to listen to the guards, while a higher level could easily dispatch all of them.

I'm sure a high-level character who attacks the guards recklessly and wantonly will meet an their end soon enough. And it will probably be creative to boot.

eh so far i think theres very few high levels who can match Tren.
and even so you'd likely to soon go EoS by attacking them, which means every npc guard you see there thats currently dummies will decide to kill you on every corner.

but then again, to said. i'd want move complains and critism here. i cant work on all happy faces.

and dont worry, i'm sure the kind emperor will soon be sending in those mages and elite guards aswell.
