A small tip to further everyones enjoyment.

Post by EdCase »

Dasaria is limited in play area at the moment we all know this.

Most especially for Lvl 11 and up. (one area)

If there is another party entering the area, use common coutesy. Sure you may decline to join with them. You might even demand to go first because you were there first.
But don't be obnoxious about it, relax remember its for fun...yours and theirs.

After a sour experience not more than 20 minutes ago. I and my teammate, both lost interest due to an unpleasant experience of petulant behaviour from a third party ( who I won't name).

I'm pretty sure this is not the atmosphere anyone seeks. So remember its fun be nice and never forget its just a game.

This is a result from lack of etiquette regarding quests in general. I'll use the golf analogy as the perfect example. If you're playing a game of golf and a group of people are ahead of you, you wait. It's plain and simple. Some people take major offense if you play through them and it's common courtesy not to do so(in NWN's case it's more of a leapfrog).

The other factor is party selection. Some people like to play through slow, others dislike having the RDD/Min-Max or NWN2-bugged characters tear through content. Whatever the reason accept it. The quest will still be there in 15 minutes.

Treat it as waiting in line for The Superman at Six Flags . . . *remembers how people acted in line* . . . or rather, act the exact opposite of that. :P

I actually had a nice experiance doing the andus fallis quest to save the kid a few days back.

Started doing it solo but was having trouble finding the child since it was my 1st go, eventually ran into an evil cleric who wanted to do the ritual (which I had no idea what it was). So we search the dungeon for the materials to do it, and then a third person comes down, a dwarf fighter. We all team up to kill the necromancer, at which point we begin the ritual but the dwarf objects, pvp ensues, the cleric gets killed and I'm forced to go invisable and retreat.

All in all, It was a great experiance. Three people all doing the same quest team up twoard a common goal and stay in character the entire time. If only it was the norm.

Actually i your evil, you simply link up with the party, loot what you can, then slaughter the party on the way out and take all the credit for single handedly dispatching X :P

Well I was lawful evil, I had made a deal with the cleric to help him complete his ritual in return for the necromancers gear. So I was going to live up to my end of the bargin, having no problems whatsoever with him preforming the ritual

The dwarf however had other plans (and tbh I would have killed him but apparently magic wont hit people in your party, didn't realize that before all my spells were exhausted, oops), and after the killed the cleric I just walked out since I got what I came for.

Yes Please do, I worked as a Security Officer in six flags a few years ago - and had to have several people arrested and or thrown out, especially in that line :).

I like that quest, because It seems to bring out RP at the end. Three times I've done that and the end part with the ritual has suddenly galvanised everyone into RP action. Much fun ensues. An' I love that quest anyways, just 'cause of the N word

Oh I agree entirely . But always remember etiquette and coutersy are double edged swords. If you act like an *** you'll probably be treated like one in return.
A simple statement I use IC when asked to party is " I\we have never met before...I\we are not sure we can trust you
Backed up by a tell if the user is one I know letting them know approximately how long me\the party will be.

Yeah! That's always great stuff, reminds me of when someone suddenly wanted to keep the Pale Moon Stones for their power
