The patch is due out in January 2007, I can't recall whether it was early or late in that month though.

Probably around 10-17, I would assume, given past patches, but it's really just a semi-educated guess.

I'm always right. I'm also a jerk. It's not my fault you can't get over the latter to see the former.

It's discouraging to see so many silly bugs out there, like a Monk gaining his special AC bonus while wearing armor... signs of a rushed game. Why couldn't they launch it a little less buggy? It's taking ages to solve things that should've been fixed from the 1st patch at the latest

pubblisher's pressure, and maybe they didn't find about some bugs (like the monks ac) because no one of them used armors with a monk i guess
i for myself would never wear an armor with a monk, so i would have never discovered that bug:D

I figure they will put a patch out before christmas to make it "more appealing" to new players.

Its ironic, but NWN 1 shipped with that bug also, and they had to fix it.
Silly thing is.

With NWN 2 based on NWN 1, why didn't they keep the fixes.

Seems like the most important patch yet. Screw caution! I'm going full blown optimism!
Moreover, I advise that Carthage must be destroyed.

No you'd have to have a working patching system for it to be appealing.
