How about grouping with others until there's a fix?

Weren't you arguing for the removal of haste not too long ago?
Draco - "Allow me to introduce myself, I'm a man of wealth and taste."
Lorcann - "BACON!"

Yep. Still think it should be. Precisely because if it is in then you gotta have it if your class can have it. RP or not. At least that is how I feel and I know many others do.

So let me get this straight, you depend on haste for every single fight? I'm curious, with extended battletide would your hastes last long enough for the entire rest period?

Haste, while good, is not incredible...it makes characters anywhere from 15% to 25% more effective in combat. Of course once you start fighting trolls you will see the uselessness of it.

The haste on battletide drops almost randomly. Either lag spikes or going through certain areas (areas which are not the same each relog) simply lifts the haste off of your battletide.

So no, I usually cannot stay hasted through an entire rest period even if I mem all extended battletides at 6th level.

Haste is still a de rigeur spell for clerics and bard melee IMO. The rest is all negotiable and up to RP etc... but for me haste is not. That is why I find this so frustrating. But too each their own.

It isn't that you *need* it, but you just want it :-)

I dunno, the fact that the level 3 spell is now mass haste its a lot better in a group setting then the old one was.
I'm always right. I'm also a jerk. It's not my fault you can't get over the latter to see the former.

The number of mages that do not keep their fighters hasted because they can still only cast 1 per round hasted is staggering.

I do not expect to be buffed in general when it makes more sense for the caster to buff himself or mem other spells. That is cool. But haste should be an exception. A party should all always be kept hasted at all costs.

I remember when having Haste cast on yourself aged you a year. This penalty was enacted to make casters conservative about using the spell continuously. That was before 3.5 made the spell a Mass spell at third level.

Aging and a character maximum age would be an interesting addition to Dasaria.

Casters, please begin freaking out below.

Then haste could be used as a weapon. Because you don't get a save against it being cast on you. Imagine going up to those characters you hate and HASTE HASTE HASTE HASTE!! HAH! You're impotent!
The largest wound will come from those you considered friends.
