She was found unconscious in a hotel room and could not be resuscitated.

Sure sounds like an OD to me. She doesn't deserve this much coverage though, she had less talent that Pamela Anderson..and thats hard to achieve.

We don't know what happened really.

I could care less how talented she was, really. I happened to be following her in the news regarding her late husbands estate. I still contend it is a bit too convenient she died suddenly, after experiencing flu-like symptoms for the previous days. Sorry, sounds fishy to me, but I'll wait and hear what the Medical Examiner has to say.
Both her and her son were druggies, her son died from an overdose. The apples don't fall far from the tree, so my assumption with Smith.... drug overdose.
Sorry, but this offended me somewhat.

That implies that everyone that drinks alcohol or prescription meds (which is what she was on) are drug addicts, which is as far from the truth as possible. I've had an alcoholic in my family, does that automatically mean I'm one too? If so, about 99% of the world is in trouble I think, because we all know -someone- in our familes that has done one of the two. I've also taken prescription meds, that doesn't make me a drug addict.

I think you misinterpreted Vahene, he said they were both druggies (statement) and that because one druggie in the family died of an overdose, the other druggie may also have befallen that fate. That's how I read it anyway.

Vahene, go watch the Anna Nicole show and then say she wasn't a drugged out gold digging loser.

Yes she had a hard beginning but so did many other people who deserve the spotlight more than her.

Edit: And just because she supposedly didn't die from "illegal" drugs it still doesn't mean she is not a druggie. People can abuse legal meds too, look at the Kennedy's

I don't think I misinterpreted. I just so the inference or implication that wasn't said. I don't happen to agree that she was a drug addict, especially since they found no traces of long term drug use in her system. Rush Limbaugh proves you can abuse legal drugs. Heh. I think I'll wait for the rest of the medical examiner's report though.

Frankly, after watching Larry King Live for a little bit last night, and reading a few articles, it looks like she might've just died from the Influenza or something. They said she had a temperature of 104. She should have been in a hospital, not a hotel room.

You're dead, but we're gonna fine you anyways.

Yeah, I can see that happening. Totally. Down here we have this churchtower people like using as jumpingplatform. There's a sign hanging on it; "Jumping disallowed. Fine's 100,- euros." It's pretty high. Little chance of survival. Dumb people.

I dont believe it when they say about the rich and the famous that they were drugfree. It's a small chance that they were. Everybody and their mom snorts. It's big business.

And eh, a line every once in a while doesn't do any harm, does it? Pssht. It's funnnn!

I'm also convinced that being famous makes you go nuts.

And that they haven't found any traces of drugs in her vains, eh.. Who knows what money she used to receive that verdict. And it doesn't take -that- long for things to disappear out of the bloodlines, does it? Does anybody know? I can't seem to find it. But I recall a "friend" of mine having to go test herself at this agency about druguse, and she had to quit snorting 2 weeks before or so, so that it all would have left her vains. Something like that. And she was a -heavy- user, she had little blood left in there.

At any rate, I don't believe the tests either. I'm a senic. Arsenic. Hahah. Lol. So much fun.

Can we get Kell's title changed to Coke-Head?
I'm always right. I'm also a jerk. It's not my fault you can't get over the latter to see the former.

I hate tabloid press and gossip magazines that have made this sort of thing a must know piece of news. I had the same feelings when Princess Di snuffed it.... so?
It was pretty crappy that Mother Theresa died around the same time and I heard one news article on it, the rest was all about Di and Dodi and her sons and oh the wailing and the nashing of teeth. Meh.
Poor old MT, all she ever did was look like a dried up prune and saved loads of people working relentlessly - no, no eating disorder, no poor young sons who must be saved from the press, no scandalous affair, no Princess of Hearts, no multimillion dollar boats or holidays in the sun, no story! no bullsh!t.
Unlucky you died Anna but I don't care how or why.
I don't feel any shame, I won't apologise

It's because everyone is a role model these days. Rock Stars used to go balistic with drugs all the time and no body gave a flying anything. Now a'days if any big pop singer, especially a woman, is caught or known to sniff em down the press is all over it. Not that I approve of it, but really who cares? I pick my nose, that's a bad habbit, if I was famous I bet I'd be in People magazine about how my snot offends children.
